Charlotte has a temperate climate. Average temperatures in January are 30 degrees Fahrenheit, while summer temperatures are in the 70s. The city experiences only 2 inches of snow per year, far below the US average of 28 inches. In addition, Charlotte has 105 days of rainfall per year, and an average of 43 inches of precipitation.

The city also hosts several major attractions and events. The Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, for example, features 360 acres of lush gardens and natural surroundings. There’s also a Woodland Trail, sparkling fountains, and a spectacular Orchid Conservatory. The garden is ranked as one of the 20 Great Gardens of the World and is a top place to welcome fall in Charlotte. The city also features several museums and attractions, so there’s no shortage of ways to spend an afternoon in Charlotte.

Historically, Charlotte was the site of the first gold rush in the United States. The US Mint opened a branch in Charlotte and today’s Mint Museum is housed in a historic building. There were several gold mines in the city, and the streets were paved with gold. The city has since been incorporated into several movies, including Homeland. The city has also been selected twice for presidential nominating conventions.

Charlotte also has a plethora of excellent restaurants. For Mexican food, try Cabo Fish Taco, Cantina 1511, and Azteca Mexican Restaurant. Sushi lovers can get their fix at Pisces Sushi and Mr. Tokyo, and Chinese food lovers can find Ru San’s. The city also has a variety of Middle Eastern and Italian cuisine.
