The SouthPark neighborhood is home to the 1.8 million square foot SouthPark Mall, where you will find Macy’s and Nordstrom’s. The neighborhood is also home to the Quail Hollow Golf Course, which is where the Wachovia Golf Tournament takes place each year.
The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art features nearly a million pieces of art from around the world. The museum is also home to numerous temporary exhibitions. This museum is one of the most popular art attractions in Charlotte, and it is open every day except Tuesday. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, the museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sundays, it is open from noon to 5 p.m.
