Wednesday & Thursday
The wedge is holding strong for the middle of the work week with dense cloud cover, low visibility, cooler temperatures, areas of drizzle and light rain. Scattered showers remain in the forecast for the early half of the afternoon, but mainly north and west of the Charlotte metro. Highs will struggle to reach the lower 60s this afternoon under a deck of low clouds.
Tomorrow will feature more of the same with widespread, locally dense fog in the morning and a few lingering showers. Conditions should improve throughout the day with sunshine mixing in at times. Although we’re still mostly cloudy, highs will reach the mid-upper 60s Thursday.
Next Rainmaker: Friday
The next big opportunity for rain arrives in the Carolinas late Thursday into Friday. This will be a multiple-rounds-of rain situation with the first in the morning and more widespread rain in the afternoon. It’ll be a messy commute on both ends of the day!
