Thursday is going to be a cold, miserable and rainy day in the Charlotte, North Carolina, metro area. On this episode of #WakeUpCLT To Go, forecaster Larry Sprinkle and meteorologist Chris Mulcahy will have the complete forecast for the Carolinas as we head into a very chilly weekend.
Thursday will see periods of rain, with the heaviest coming during the morning commute. This will almost certainly lead to problems on the roads, with slow moving traffic across the region. Afternoon temperatures will climb into the lower 50s with winds around 5-10 mph. Some gusts could reach 20 mph, particularly in higher elevations.
Friday will be a pleasant day. We can expect sunny skies across North Carolina and South Carolina. Temperatures will be below average for this time of year with afternoon highs topping out around 50 degrees. Saturday and Sunday will be even cooler as a blast of cold air gives a wintry feel to the Carolinas. #WakeUpCLT #Weather #Forecast
