Frigid air, Arctic blast ahead for Charlotte: Larry Sprinkle forecast

Monday morning will get off to a frigid start with temperatures in the low 30s for most of the Charlotte area. But this cold air is nothing compared to the Arctic blast that will bring sub-freezing temperatures to North Carolina next week.

WCNC Charlotte forecaster Larry Sprinkle says the Charlotte metro will see partly cloudy skies on Monday, Dec. 19, with afternoon temperatures in the mid-to-upper 40s. Clouds will move in by Monday evening with overnight lows in the 30s into your Tuesday.

The Carolinas will be mostly cloudy on Tuesday with afternoon highs only reaching the mid-40s with light winds in the Charlotte area. Wednesday will also be cold with highs in the upper 40s and a chance of showers by Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning. #WakeUpCLT #Weather #Forecast
