Things to Do in Charlotte, North Carolina
Charlotte, North Carolina, is a great place to live. It has four seasons, excellent weather and a lot of outdoor activities. The climate is a humid subtropical climate. The city is also close to the mountains and the Atlantic coastline.
Some of the biggest companies in Charlotte include American Airlines, Bank of America, Lowe’s, and Wells Fargo. The job market is a good one and many people find employment quickly.
Charlotte’s weather is moderately dry, though there are some rainstorms in the summer. The city receives enough rainfall to keep the waterways running and the snowfalls at a minimum. The winters can be very mild, compared to the northern states.
Charlotte is known for its beer and wine scene. There are hundreds of breweries throughout the city. You can check out tours, tastings, and events at some of the local breweries. Some of the best breweries in Charlotte are Catawba Brewing, NoDa Brewing, Blue Baze, and Triple C Brewing.
Those looking for outdoor sports will enjoy the numerous baseball, football, basketball, and hockey teams in the area. If you are looking for live music, there is plenty of choice. There are a number of venues in the area, including the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, which has a high-quality sound system.
If you are interested in history, you can visit the Levine Museum of the New South. It explores the post-Civil War history of the south. The Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden is another great spot. The garden has an incredible array of plant life and it is especially beautiful during the holiday season.
