Charlotte North Carolina is one of the largest cities in the United States. It is located in the south central part of North Carolina.

Charlotte is known as “The New Energy Capital”. It is a major city in the energy sector. Several Fortune 500 companies are headquartered in Charlotte. This includes Duke Energy, Fluor, and AREVA.

Charlotte is a very diverse city. Five percent of the population is Asian, six percent is black, and the remaining 6 percent is made up of people from various races and ethnic groups. Most residents are Protestant Christians.

There are seven Fortune 500 companies headquartered in Charlotte, including Bank of America and Lowe’s. Charlotte also has numerous cultural organizations producing arts education programs. These produce 65,000 events annually.

The city has a diverse history. During the American Revolution, Lord Cornwallis occupied Charlotte. After the Civil War, Charlotte became the location of the Confederate Navy Yard. In the 1950s, Charlotte was a major location for civil rights activity.

Charlotte is home to numerous cultural attractions, including the Mint Museum. This museum features an exceptional collection of art.

Another great attraction is Carowinds. The park is the premier theme park in the Carolinas. You can enjoy riding, running, and climbing.

Charlotte is a great city to live. The weather is fairly mild, so you can experience outdoor activities. If you are looking for a place to raise a family, Charlotte is a good option.

The city is located near many beautiful places, such as Lake Norman, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, and Lake Wylie. There are several beaches nearby as well.
