I'm 14 years old I'm in eighth grade And I am angry Another tragedy and what has become a Long and seemingly endless line of Similar tragedies for America's schools And students has occurred last week Change must happen So many kids and innocent people have Been dying and it has become normalized And nothing is happening to help I would like lawmakers to realize that We need their help and they have to act The constant barrage of school shooting News makes many of us live in fear that Our school will be next I should not Have to leave my home each morning Wondering if I'll get to return to it I should not have to say I love you Goodbye to my parents before leaving for School wondering if I'll ever see them Again I will not accept that while Children are being slaughtered lawmakers And leaders across the country are not Only failing to protect young students They are making it easier to purchase Firearms When will they see that enough Is enough
