Charlotte is a beautiful city that still has four seasons, a fast-growing population and true city feel, strong job market (especially in financial services) and a surplus of fun things to do for families and couples. It also has blissfully low rents and home prices and a lower cost of living than most major hubs in the U.S.

The city celebrates its history and heritage through festivals and community gatherings. It’s a place that exudes a small town charm that is hard to find in other larger cities, while it feels large enough to have all the perks of city life, including big-city amenities and an electric energy that feeds ambition.
There are many ways to experience the outdoors here, from picnicking in a green space to hiking or biking one of the city’s trails. The city is also home to some of the best golf courses in the state and has a robust bike sharing program, B-Cycle.
When it’s time to unwind, locals head for the many bars and breweries around town. They can get buzzed brewery hopping, grab drinks with friends at a rooftop patio or channel their creativity at a paint and sip event.
Sports fans love the city’s NBA team, the Charlotte Hornets. The team has bright and fun team colors and is owned by the legendary basketball player, Michael Jordan. The city is also home to a number of professional baseball and football teams.
