Bryce Young talks keeping perspective

Young spoke about his progression throughout the offseason and his plans before training camp.

As Brian Burns to describe you yesterday Did you hear what he told me uh I I did Hear I did hear okay do you want me to Repeat because I want to know reaction He said that you're humble but you know That you're the so is that is that An accurate description of you I Personally Personally Um you know I I don't know if I can view On perceived uh Brian that's that's yeah That's uh you know Brian is super cool To work with him allow me and welcome me Here um you know being a leader being a Veteran coming in and you know showing Me you know the love that he has and That's really been from from everyone on The team in the locker room I'm really Grateful just to be embraced like I have I'm super grateful to be a part of this Team I'm learning a lot every day I'm Trying to do everything I can to help The team so you know for me that's Really what I'm focus on you think that Though there's a quiet confidence about You that people may not see on the Outside looking in um you know I don't I Don't really know how other people Necessarily perceive me or um you know What what what people may think um you Know for me I think you know confidence Is something you earn and I show up Every day you know for you know I think Right now is when as a team as a group

We try to earn that confidence we earn That trustion in one another um you know Because you need that for the season Um so I think you know that's something That we're still building on I'm Building on I think that those are a big Part of OTs is going to be a big part of Training camp to establish that that Trust that conference that we have in One another and that's a process so I Feel like for me I try to attack that Every day you know do things you know us As a unit I mean individually try to Instill trust and confidence in one Another Um you know so I think that's that's a Big goal for us right they seem really Comfortable right now is there a Particular moment since you know where You feel like Um you know I Think for me the mentality has been the Same um you know for me I want to um Again there's a lot of I want to Continue to improve on you know that's You know I want to do everything I can To help the team you know but I think Just being embraced by the locker room You know that means a lot to me um you Know there's a lot of guys here that had A lot of success and played a lot of Snaps at NFL football and them you know Welcoming me who's never played played a Snap before I'm you know trying to prove

Himself and trying to do everything he Can to help the team you know them Embracing me and you know all the other Rookies all the free agents all the guys That are new here Um you know it's a it's a new group but Um you know it doesn't feel like you're In the locker room doesn't feel like You're in the Huddle um so you know I Think we've just all grown more Comfortable with one another you know There's still a lot of you know stuff we Want to iron out stuff we want to Improve on and get better at but you Know I think we've just been able to Lead on each other for that you Mentioned a mini camp and OTAs being a Time to build everybody up does the Bring you down part kind of build you Down does that happen in Spartanburg a Little bit is that the next step of Really kind of chipping away at some Things well um you know I haven't I Haven't been yet so um you know I guess We'll see I think from what I've been Able to observe is you know we we rely On each other and lean each other to Pick each other up and I think it's Great because we all have a group in a Locker room that holds each other that You know we hold ourselves accountable You know if you know when we mess up or You know we don't do things the right Way you know I think it's great to see

We're the first people you know to be Hard on ourselves to hold ourselves Accountable you know we're not just you Know things don't go well it's not just Whatever is coach going to get on me Um you know how is someone else you know We're the first to you know to react to Try to want to be better um so I think It's great to be able to be in a locker Room to where you know first and Foremost we hold ourselves accountable We look in the mirror first and then I Think because of that us all kind of Having that mentality Um you know we can lean on each other to Pick each other up we can see someone And we know that they care enough to you Know when when something happens Um that they're you know they're they're Upset or they're they're mad themselves We know that so we don't have to try to I don't feel like we have to supplement It we have to try to you know Manufacture and you know we we have that Drive within we which is a great locker Room to be a part of so for us I feel Like as a team we just lean on each Other to pick each other up and and try To move towards that Collective goal Right that's what that said this this Phase is sort of kind of like learning How to practice or training camp with That What's your outlook towards mistakes

From a learning staff yeah um you know Mistakes are going to happen but that Doesn't mean we have to be um you know Satisfied with it um you know we Understand you know it's it's a tough Game you know on offense we're going up Against a great defense every day Um you know Vice President we try to Challenge ourselves um you know we Understand the competition that happens So we understand that mistakes are going To be made but you know we don't get Complacent in that um you know when Those happen we try to address them we Try to get better at them um just Because we know what's going to happen Doesn't mean that you know we we can't Have urgency about it Um so you know I think like you said Mistakes are going to come and you know It definitely hasn't been a you know a Perfect OTAs for for anyone for any unit for any Individual but we understand that that's Going to be the case but you know again At the same time you know it's on us to Hold you know hold ourselves accountable Coaches do a great job of holding us Accountable us going back watching the Tape learning about it I'm talking about It and then you know we try to do what We can to avoid those mistakes moving Forward [Music]

Like you were talking to yourself so What were you thinking or saying uh yeah I mean incomplete pass um you know again Another one of those mistakes that we All have you know as the goal is you Know the Red Zone to score you know Every pass you want to be completed um You know it's we know it's you know I'm Aware that's not going to happen but Again I'm not going to be you know I'm Not going to be you know complacent About that I'm you know we're all Striving for for Perfection um you know I'm I'm it's really great to be around a Group of guys that feel the same way About it um so you know just like any Other pass you know it sucks when it Doesn't get completed um but you know It's you know you learn from it and then You move on and you know you turn the Page and now you have to figure out how To make the next play work do you have Kind of a personal timeline or I guess Schedule that you have yourself on and If so what stage do you feel like you're At right now Um you know I think for me it's not I'm Not a Not huge as far as a long-term you know Goals long-term uh checklist or timeline For me I try to take things day by day And I base things you know day by day Off of the people I'm around I mean off Of my coaches off of my teammates of you

Know what are we going to get better at Tomorrow you know how did this practice Go what do you want to improve at what Well that we can stay consistent on what Stuff didn't go as well that we want to Improve on and I think that's a Day-by-day thing I think that changes Every day Um you know so for me I don't think There's a specific you know one small Detail I'm going to be focused on for a Long period of time you know sometimes It ends up like that sometimes you know It's something that's consistent it's a Reoccurring theme and you end up focused On it for a while but you know for me I Take things day by day I lean on my Coaching staff and my teammates to Figure out what I I got to get better at What we as you have to get better at and I think that's really a day by day Reevaluation right what's the biggest Difference in you today than a month and A half ago when you walked in the door Um you know I think really it's just you Know the comfortability I have and you Know big things of that goes to my Coaches staff who's you know who's you Know just a lot of a lot more reps on Tape a lot of great coaching you know a Lot of understanding a lot of more time In the system and you know my teammates You know again embracing me you know Pushing me holding me accountable you

Know when things go well we're able to Talk about it see why and you know try To maintain that when things don't again Being able to regroup talk about it you Know we all take responsibility here It's a great group of of guys that you Know again all look at the mirror first And then we all come together see what We could have done better and then we Talk about it um so you know I think It's just being able to build time with This coaching staff with his team and And build a connection you know I think That would be I'd say that'd be the Biggest thing in terms of that Accountability piece or supporting New Pieces there's been one particular Teammate that's kind of stood out for Kind of embracing you um yeah you know Honestly I couldn't say one guy just Because it's been so strong from Everybody Um you know from guys on offense guys on Defense special teams um you know Whether it's been my fellow rookie class Or you know the vets that have been here And you know for for years Um you know again it's really been a Family environment a family atmosphere And I feel like from all all angles all Levels all different you know positions Um I couldn't say one person stand has Been able to stand out because I feel Like everyone um you know us as a family

We've been able to come together and Again for me being a rookie this being My first experience in the NFL I didn't Know it was going to be like and you Know for this to be what it is I'm Really grateful to be a part of this What are your plans for the break you Want anything fun uh working out um you Know getting ready continue to to get Ready and try to build um but let's Start the season um and I view that as Fun so What's your take on sort of so much Strength Try to add some pounds over the summer Kind of before the grind of 18-week Season yeah you know for me I trust the Strength and conditioning staff here um That we have an amazing strength staff Who you know works very very you know I've been had the pleasure to work with And and will continue working with Throughout the off season they do a Great job here with not just me but Everyone on the team um so you know They're sending out plans they're Sending out workouts and you know they They have a plan for me just like they Have a plan for everyone so I'm going to Follow their direction do they or you to Ted's pounds before Camp are you kind of Good Memorial yeah right now um you know We're finishing out this week we're Doing the stuff we have here and then

They'll send out the stuff for for next Week so you know I haven't looked at it Yet so wherever they whatever they have I guess we'll see Bryce at least at Least in the last few days it seems like You've been seeing a lot of 98 in the Backfield I was just curious what have You taken away from Yeah um you know I think he's been you Know he's been great like you said he's You know he's been there's a lot of Great competition here so you know you See him in the backfield um and you know It's because we're you know it's good on Good it's elite guys going up against Each other um you know countless reps You know a ton of reps you know some Guys up you know up front on offense are Going to win defense are going to win And again we love that we love the Competition here Um but you know obviously it's you know It it's tough when you have to go Against him every day in practice but on Sundays you know it's it's great knowing That you know you have a guy like that Out there um so you know I'm super Excited for him and you know for the Entire team you know we compete and you Know we go after a little bit um you Know while we're out there but then you Know right after the Horn's blown we Bring it up we're all family again and We all root for each other um so you

Know we're out there we want to compete We wanted the offense wants to win every Rep win every drill but we know uh right After it's done when we come back we're Able to celebrate each other when we Watch the film Um you know I think that's a great case Of that so I'm super excited for him in Front entire defense Appreciate you guys

Charlotte North Carolina

Moving to Charlotte North Carolina

Events, Life, Sports, Weather, News

Whether you are in the mood for a night filled with heated sports battles or chart-topping musicians Charlotte has something for everyone. There are also plenty of great lakes to visit, making outdoor activities a breeze during the warmer months.

One of the main things to consider when deciding on whether or not to move to Charlotte is its climate. While it can get hot and humid in the summer, it is not nearly as bad as some other East Coast cities. The winter can be icy and snowy, but it does not last as long as other parts of the country.

Luckily, there is plenty to do indoors, as well, so you will always have options. Some of the best places to go include museums, breweries, live music and more. Having an active social life is important for most people, and Charlotte has plenty of opportunities to help you stay connected.

Another perk of living in Charlotte is that it is a very affordable city. In comparison to other major cities on the East Coast, it has much lower rent and housing costs. This makes it a popular choice for college students and young professionals alike.
