Miles you've got uh you had your Camp Recently Uh now you're back in football What are you most excited about It I'm just getting back to work you Know um I had a had a good run last year You know made it all the way to the last Game just just trying to get back to Work with this new team New Journey and You know it's just work every day take It day by day you've got a lot of Success Say that again Yeah yeah even after the Super Bowl you Know I got straight to it into working Out you know I thank thank God I've been Healthy this whole off season so just uh Trying to keep it going and you know I'm Ready for what's to come What do you tell the guys on this roster I've never seen the playoffs and what it Takes to get there oh I mean like I said Uh don't don't rush anything don't don't Look at anybody else it's just focus on Ourselves and take it day by day Literally if we if we try to do that and Just focus on little things I think We'll be on it Stick with you and yours are just moving On to a whole new chapter and it's Behind me oh yeah it's behind me I'm Sorry this guy get back What it's going to look like in September and and when will it look like
What it can look like uh we got a seat Doing Camp you know um we gotta we gotta Go through camp and see how we look I Mean we I mean we can't really based on OTAs you Know there's no really pads or nothing Really serious going on but like I said We just gotta take it day by day and We're gonna see see how everything turns Out I have set my thoughts a lot you know um Had a couple interviews and stuff but as Of right now Um I'm at where I'm at got I got my Contract and uh just looking forward to You know Playing for my new home and um that's All I can worry about right now so Did you no I didn't You guys that have been devalued Um like I said I said my thoughts uh They've they've heard my thoughts before I'm just trying to focus on football Right now just personal though you did Have the longest deal sign during free Agency the biggest deal what did that Mean to you what type of validation did That give you after four years of Building honestly uh Honestly Um Try my best I mean uh that's as far as How to how the markets went that's how Difficult it is for for running backs
But that's all I could say and I'm here Day one training camp and that's all I'm Worried about right now what made you Start working out in Texas Uh I've been started just the weather You know I love the weather the food you Know How does that prepare you kind of for Like training camp away from home uh you Know the weather's not always ideal in Pittsburgh or PA in general so um I Train out there with my mentor just me And him trained by myself too so I always realize you weren't here last Year but um certainly a lot of Excitement around you know having a Number one pick here Bryce Young on what Has been your initial impression to him Obviously in the middle camp and OTAs And Like I said before uh Nick Saban's doing A great job up there in Alabama I played With another Alabama quarterback in in Philly and um all I can say is the boys Are sharpened and I'm excited to see What he can do this year both of those Guys are pretty soft-spoken not rah-rah Guys how how does that kind of Change like the dynamic of maybe a guy Who is a rah-rah guy like what makes it Different following a guy who's maybe a Little bit more soft-spoken and careful With his words as opposed to a guy who's Maybe like let's go sort of not I mean
The only difference is is if they're raw Raw or not I mean they're work ethic and The way they compete doesn't really Change that doesn't really uh the Differential different each other by That but like I say Being a railroad guy doesn't really Change I mean if you're a dog your dog So Say that one more time what's the most Important thing in your mind someone That's been in the league for a minute That you need to accomplish during Training camp I'll just be better than The day before like I said just take it One day at a time don't rush anything Um still use this time to get better and You know Um as for me this is a new team so I'm Going to set the tone first day try to Try to you know earn everybody's respect I'm new to the team I might have a Couple years in this league but Uh I don't I don't know these guys that Much you know and like I said it is a New team and you know just trying to set The tone first day so That's too far about Spartanburg it's Hot yeah that's it that's it but they Get hot in Philly too so uh I'm hydrated I think so How much does it help to get away and be Around just the guys especially for you Trying to get used to some of these guys
This is all you got to worry about for The next couple of weeks yeah this is Good like I said this is bringing back To college days and I'm excited uh There's nothing but football here so um That's all I'm focused on Wow To reach them uh Mr Grind and I'm just Looking forward to it you know there's Nothing really I could really say but I Know the type of guys are in that locker Room they're ready to work and that's What we're gonna do well as you talked About earning that respect from the team Can't look like a success why was that Important for you to come and jump Straight off the off the Gateway Camp Here oh well um I'm big about the kids And I just started my my Foundation just Got that running and just wanted to you Know start it off the right way I've had A camp in Pittsburgh where I'm from last Year I did another one this year and uh And decided to do one in my new home so And that one turned out to be the best One so far so I'm thankful for everybody That helped and just looking forward to Do more things in the community too so Part of the appeal probably I would Think Thomas Brown Drew Staley running Back backgrounds for both talk about What it's like to work with this and I'm Excited about Thomas Brown with his Background on this offensive side oh
Yeah I'm super excited you know that's My guy deuce and Um it's been a long time coming I told Him I was going to be back with him so And we made it happen and uh you know Thomas is I'm looking forward to what he got Planned for us and liking the offense so Far what is your previous relationship With David uh he was the running back Coach at Philly that directed me in 2019 So Kind of work Out from a from a teaching perspective Uh on teaching wise they're not really Too different you know um I I see them Both as two Guys that don't like to play around Really Um Deuce might be a little bit more Intense uh Coach might be a little you know a Little jugular but you know they all About business though and that's all I Care about Thank you
