[Music] First off how are you feeling and um Frank alluded to you possibly playing This week uh how important would that be To to your recovery yeah I mean I'm Feeling great um just got like a had Like a little growing strain in the Beginning of a camp Um but I feel I feel amazing now they're Just you know being very careful with The whole situation and um yeah Pretty forthcoming about you being the Kicker this is like the first time in Your career that you've really been What does that mean to you I mean it Means you know it means everything to me Obviously you know I've been working Hard this off season Um being back with the team is amazing And um just getting that two-year Extension I'm so happy to be back you Know I have Johnny and you know we have All our guys and I'm just I'm ready to Have a good season so Side effects And pain just yeah I feel amazing um Yeah we just uh kicked the set in the Stadium going both ways just to get Ready for Friday and um you know I'm Gonna leave it up to coach hopefully he Puts me in and I can get some kicks in So Eddie how much would it help to just Get I mean I think you said yesterday Maybe some short work on Friday how much
Would it help just to get out uh in the Game yeah yeah I mean um I think it Would be great Um you know I I feel like I have some Good game experience but obviously you Know it's good to be out there and have Some guys Rush at you and try to block Your kick and mentally you know get Going Um I would love it I love it but again You know I'll leave it up to him and put Me in coach you know I'm ready When you're trying to replicate your Your swing every time basically Um no mentally no Um the only mental part of when you know From my situation you know hurting my Growing a little bit is more just like I Want to be back there as soon as Possible for me it's more like not rush Back so it gets hurt again does that Make sense but as far as like my swing And technique and stuff no it just Stayed the same so He's kind of auditioning for other teams Um how much can a really strong Performance in a preseason help you yeah You know it's helped a lot um you know I've been traded before Um you know I've I've won my competition In preseason in Chicago when I played Um yeah preseason is a big deal for Kickers I mean I mean I guess for every Position but for kickers you know guys
Want to see guys make kicks and Um yeah I mean he's done a great job He's you know he's always trying to Learn he's a great kid and I think he's A great kicker and I I truly believe and I hope that um somebody you know grabs Them and he can be starting this league I think he's a starting kicker in the League so Is off season different for you having The benefit of that assurance that you Are their God yeah mentally it's been Amazing um you know this is my first Time in six years that I go into a camp And you know they tell me you know hey You're the guy and you know it's a good Feeling but you know it's a lot of work And I don't take it for granted I'm so Blessed to be here every single day and Like I said I never take it for granted I'm blessed to be here so Any more Freddy just to be clear it Sounds like you are absolutely expecting To kick week one yeah that's the that's The game plan you know I'm like I said I Leave it up to coach and I feel Physically ready mentally I feel ready And you know I'm going to leave it up to Them and the trainers and they got a Good plan for me so I just take it day By day with them So I didn't pull a muscle or anything it Just got very sore on me I could have Kept kicking but they kind of just said
Hey let's let's not mess around with That So yeah Type of system Um I just think it just got it just Locked up it just got sore on me just One practice Um just one of those random things man No kicking like yeah Um it actually has like you'll get sore And then I'll kick through it and then It'll get worse so they were kind of Just like hey like we know you can kick You can probably kick through it but Let's just kind of just Uh be on the safe side of it so did you Have to take a break from like the side Atrium you know football competitions With the Specialists too no I'm still in There we have competition Thursday Um we still we still got our stuff going So how far were you kicking today today I went like 43 yards yeah Get back you know kind of get the Jitters out on the first game there Specifically yeah Um you know I've been thinking about That for sure and I don't I as of right Now I don't I don't think I'll have any Jitters I just I'm just like I said like I'm just blessed to be back and be able To kick and get another opportunity in Atlanta to kick again that's kind of Like my mindset just having that
Opportunity because you know there's so Many times that kickers just you know They bounce around they get cut and this And that and for the first time I feel Like actually extremely happy that I get An opportunity to start week one and be With my guys again so All right thanks Alex sure appreciate You guys thanks
