Located in North Carolina’s Mecklenburg County, Charlotte is the largest city in the state and has many unique attractions to offer its residents. From vibrant festivals to a variety of parks and cultural centers, Charlotte has something for everyone!
The city is also known for its sports teams and passionate fans. From the Charlotte Panthers to the Charlotte Hornets and the Knights, sports fans love to come together and cheer on their favorite players. There are plenty of other fun things to do in Charlotte as well, like visiting the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden for Holidays at the Garden with over a million lights or attending HeroesCon, a comic book convention that brings in creators and fans from all over the world.
When it comes to food and drink, Charlotte has some of the best restaurants in the southeast. You can find everything from down-home fish and chips to cuisine from around the world at trendy Uptown locations. If craft beer is your thing, then you will love the growing scene in Charlotte, with more than 30 local breweries featuring relaxed ambiances and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
Living in Charlotte offers the perks of a major metropolis, such as a bustling nightlife scene and a huge number of young professionals, but it also offers the benefits of small-town living. You will still hear that southern twang when you talk to locals, and there is something quaint about walking down the streets of Charlotte and being welcomed by strangers with kind words and genuine smiles.
