Tabor spoke about other players taking on roles with Kamu Grugier-Hill and Sam Franklin stepping in on defense.
How's everybody doing well how are you Doing well thank you Minnesota Vikings Go ahead fire away what do they do well On special teams they're good they're Well coach they had a lot of good Players some veterans uh you're going to See um employee number 30 uh employee Number 44 number 45 guys that can run They got a good returner in pal uh and Then their Specialists have played real Well so we got have our hands full we're Still trying to iron out some the Details for us and hopefully we can get A little better this week it's kind of Part of your life that you're changing Personnel week to week depending on What's available when you may not have As much access to kamu may not have as Much access to Sam Franklin how do you Patch things together just keep going And next man up that's kind of the Mantra in the NFL and it is true there's Really not much you can do about that Those guys uh they could be playing for Us they could not be playing for us I Mean it just it happens it happens all The time during the game I mean Obviously um you know we sustain some Injuries in the Seattle game you just Make in-game adjustments and our guys Are are real good about uh understanding The importance of it and understanding Where the stress is at and and uh you Just got to get guys ready and that's
What we'll do again today is there a guy In particular or a couple of guys in Particular that you have who you've Worked with enough that they know Multiple jobs yes what we try to do all During the week is hey here's the lineup This is how we're going to play and then I also try to talk about okay if this Happens this is who you need to know These few spots so that in the game if It does happen I just press those Buttons and and those guys go do that um And then you just kind of hope that They're training and and Coach them up On the sidelines and and hopefully can Play well there are guys offensively and Defensively who are Rhythm Guys the more Playing time they get the better they Are in your experience have you had guys Maybe fill in on defense or offense and That kind of sparked an even better Improvement on special teams sure I Think so I think one of the things is When if if there's an injury and someone Steps up and plays from now me more on Special teams and maybe they haven't Been playing it's their chance so you Get your chance go for it and our job is As a coach obviously to turn them loose And let them go and then say hey th This Is It Go Get It an update on uh T Cohen How his comeback is going and how close He was to a promotion possibly still Still still doing well uh still
Improving I think it's kind of the the Same as what it was last week hopefully Uh he's getting better just like all Players are but I'm excited uh where He's at right now how is he healthwise How is he moving on thei he's been doing Well he's everything he's been Responding real well to all the Practices and all those things so um I Don't have a lot of concern there do he The same speed as he did in Chicago he Still has speed he still has speed and He you can tell tell he's still a really Good player and and uh as I stated I Don't know how many weeks ago a couple Weeks ago just kind of taking the pledge Out and and dusting the Shelf a little Bit and that's what we're doing still I Think Johnny's like eight punts inside The 20 away from being eighth all time Um obviously it's pretty easy to Research what he's done in his career But having a guy who has been an allpro And a pro bowler how much does he help Your coverage unit and and vice versa Well that's an area we need to improve On is is is our coverage but Johnny is Is a big weapon for us uh just because Of all the other things he can do with Regards to throwing the ball and and and And being a being a factor there but uh You know he is such an asset for our Whole unit I mean for example we put in You know we were talking we install punt
Return today and one of the guys that Ask the question is is Johnny Hecker and He's not even on the punt return team But that once again it kind of shows the Pro that he is and and he also might ask A question because maybe this guy over Here the young player doesn't want to Ask that question but he knows he needs To ask it there's a lot of things that He does I know people see the field Results but behind the scenes I mean It's it's amazing I mean having him and JJ being sounding boards in general and Having all that experience have you kind Of seen firsthand their effect on the Younger guys 100% they sit right by each Other in the meetings and if I say Something or ask a question I I might be Asking for this guy over here but I can Look at JJ and and heck and they kind of Give me the look like you might want to Hit that one again for him or he has it I mean so that that's it's a huge Plus For me and it's a I I guess I can call It a security Blanket coach historically we've seen so Many guys really find their opportunity Or their footing through the Special Teams you make how much do you Revel in That as a coach really being a part of That Foundation oh we take it seriously You know I I think for us since you know People will say well we deal more with The bottom of the roster our job is it
Kind of goes all the way back to Training camp where we said we want you Know we want you to make our team if you Don't make our team we want you make Somebody else's team it's kind of the Pride of of playing and going and so When they get the opportunity whether They get called up from the P squad or Whatever or they were a backup and and And now they're a four-phase player for Us we going to make sure that they do Well because this is their shot it's Their livelihood and and as a coach it's My responsibility to make sure that he Sets himself up to be successful because Obviously it's uh he's feeding his Family is a perfect example that do you Do you anticipate playing many special Team snaps or we'll have to see how that All shakes out I I probably wouldn't Divulge all that right now
Moving to Charlotte North Carolina
Events, Life, Sports, Weather
From a bustling nightlife and culinary scene to family-friendly activities and a surplus of outdoor options, Charlotte has a lot to offer its residents. Its thriving job market, a balanced cost of living, and abundance of educational and entertainment opportunities make it one of the top cities to move to in the US. However, there are some things that could be a deal breaker for some people considering relocation to Charlotte.
While the weather is great, it can get hot and muggy during summers. And although the city has some public transportation options, it’s best to own a car if you move to Charlotte.
When it comes to the arts, Charlotte is a hub with a variety of museums, galleries and performances to choose from. The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, Discovery Place and Levine Museum of the New South are some of the city’s most popular cultural and educational landmarks.
Sports fans will love it here too with teams in every major sport. The Carolina Panthers of the NFL, the Charlotte Hornets of the NBA, and NASCAR’s Wells Fargo Championship are just a few of the most popular events that attract people from all over the country to the city.
The beer and wine scene is also booming in Charlotte with seemingly hundreds of breweries, excellent vineyards and some unique experiences that you’ll only find here. However, be aware that income taxes in the state are higher than in many other states and can add up to a substantial amount of money each year.
