Your colleague your colleague Scott Fowler wrote an article the other day And uh ask could the pars go 0 and 17 oh Lon I was dreading this question do you Do you share his potential opinion that They'll set an NFL record for futility I Do not and I did say your colleague Scott no he's yours too he's been yours Forever um I saw that headline and I was Like all right let's see let's just lay Back and eat some popcorn and see what Fans how fans respond to this one no but In short I don't think that the Panthers Will go 0 and 17 and In fairness Scott Didn't Scott thinks that Panthers will Find a way to win a game or two or three Or four um most teams who start 0 and Four average about 4.3 wins a season um At least at least according to data from The past decade of football since 2013 So 4.3 wins is possible um or four to Five wins is possible in the 17 game Stretch they have a couple opportunities Kind of coming up after Miami Houston Texans maybe I know they're playing Quite well with CJ Stout is gonna be Really pumped up to play Carolina y' Gonna show you yeah probably but at the Same time I think they have been Overachieving at this point the NFL Season so maybe they come back to earth And the Panthers have a bye to kind of Refocus and Center on this game of Course not to pick on another rookie
Quarterback who might not even play but The Colts are the Colts are on their Schedule the bear they play the Bears Against in the Thursday night football Spotlight and of course the Bears might Have impressed everyone with that Amazing offensive performance against The commanders but that's a winnable Game as well so coming up in the next Five or six games Panthers can sneak Away with three wins and we could be Having a very different tone talking About Them
