One of the main things people love about Charlotte is that it’s a city with true small-town charm. Charlotte’s residents are friendly, and they make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Sports are a big deal in Charlotte, and it is one of the best places in the country to watch a basketball game or a NASCAR race. You can find a sports event almost any day of the week. There are also a lot of fun family-friendly events throughout the year, such as the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden’s Holidays at the Garden, which features over a million lights and festive music every November through December.
When it comes to the weather, Charlotte is relatively mild. The summers are a bit hotter than other southern cities, but they’re far from the blazing heat you’d experience in Florida or Texas. Winters aren’t cold either, and there are plenty of beautiful fall days to enjoy all the foliage the area has to offer.
Moving to Charlotte can be a great experience, but there are some downsides as well. The cost of living is generally more expensive than most other major cities in the United States, and traffic can be a nightmare during rush hour times. Public transportation is available, but it can be difficult to navigate with only 70 bus routes and no light rail system.
