The City of Charlotte, North Carolina is located in the Piedmont region of the state. It is known for its laid back Southern charm. From the beautiful vineyards to the excellent sports teams, this city has something for everyone.
In fact, the city is one of the most diverse in the United States. The city is home to a variety of major faiths. There are over 700 different places of worship in the city. Some of the top denominations include the Presbyterian Church in America, the Advent Christian Church, and the Greek Orthodox Church.
Charlotte also hosts many national events. This includes the Coca-Cola 600 and the Wells Fargo Championship.
As a result of the success of the economy, many companies have moved to Charlotte. Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and American Airlines are all prominent employers. Also, several Fortune 500 companies have offices in the area, including Lowe’s, Nucor, and Duke Energy.
The city is one of the fastest growing in the United States. In the past 10 years, the Charlotte Chamber has recruited over 56,338 new jobs.
As a result, Charlotte has become a major urban center. Although the city is largely a Protestant community, there are a large number of African-Americans and Asians.
Another reason to visit Charlotte is its close proximity to the mountains. Located in the foothills, the city is often home to fresh white powder during the winter.
For the wine and beer connoisseur, Charlotte has a number of great breweries. Catawba Brewing and NoDa Brewing are two great choices.
