Located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, Charlotte is a large city. With a population of nearly 800,000 people, it is one of the largest cities in the state. Charlotte is home to two major universities, UNC Charlotte and Duke University.
Charlotte has an excellent public transportation system. The Charlotte Area Transit System, or CATS, is a bus system that provides service along the I-485 Loop. This is an excellent way to get around the city without having to fight the rush hour traffic. It is also a good way to get to Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
Charlotte is also home to several breweries. These breweries can be an excellent way to get a taste of the local culture. These breweries have tours available, so be sure to check them out. Some of the best breweries in Charlotte include Legion, Catawba, and NoDa.
Charlotte is also home to many vineyards. Stony Mountain Vineyard is a great winery.
Charlotte has also become a tech hub. Amazon has several huge warehouses located in the Charlotte area. The city is also home to a branch of the US Mint.
Charlotte also has an impressive number of golf courses. One of the top courses is the Quail Hollow Club. Other golf courses include Myers Park Country Club, the Charlotte Country Club, and Lake Norman.
Charlotte also has a number of sports teams. Sports fans can check out the Charlotte Panthers, the Charlotte Hornets, the Charlotte Checkers, and the Charlotte Knights.
