The Queen City’s humid subtropical climate makes it a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Summers are hot and humid, while spring and fall offer mild temperatures. Winters are cold and damp, and snowfall is fairly common. The average number of wet days per month in Charlotte ranges from 3.7 to 13.1 depending on the season. Wet days are defined as those with at least 0.04 inches of rain or liquid equivalent precipitation. The probability of a wet day occurring increases throughout the summer, peaking in July. The driest months are in January and February.
