Hey BR how you doing how uh how are you Given the news about the play calling Change and um you know we've seen some Changes made over the last couple of Days how much do you as the quarterback And the leader kind of you know feel you Contributed to potential changes yeah um You know I coach came up and and talked To me and has talked to us um as a team Um you know always always talk to us About things and um again it's it's it's A part of the process and you know I Think you know he he explained you know Explained to to everyone again just felt Like it was it was what was best and you Know I I think it's a result of of Everything you know um everything Happens um we do everything as a team as A unit specifically uh you know Offensively um so it's all of us so Again it was just um again it was what He felt like was was best uh what we we Felt like was right for the time being Um and you know I think it's you know Just result of of um you know you know Result of of of a lot of things but Ultimately it's again it's just what's What's best for a team it's there's no One that's that's at fault it's no one It's just again it it was the call that Coach made and you know we we have his Back with it how does kind of the back And forth sort of yo-yoing impact and Negatively affect your ability to
Perform um it doesn't doesn't hinder me Doesn't doesn't affect my ability all Again it's you know it's the same system Um you know it's it's not as big of a You know it's just you hear a different Voice but you're calling the same place Um you know throughout coach coach re And TB both have had our and from the Beginning um all the way through have Always both had a big hand in in molding The the game plan molding the offense And it's a combination of of stuff and Then bring things together and it's Still that um so you know it's it's not Like we're going to completely different Plays and completely different Terminology it's the same stuff um and You know every week you know you turn The page and you have a new game plan And you got different things up and you Got new things and you got stuff from From the past and whatever it may be and That that's an every week thing and you Know it's no different um so you know it Doesn't doesn't affect doesn't affect me Again it's all a collaborative effort at The end of the day um you know still Always meeting with with with Coach uh With TB still always Consulting him and Ultimately you know he's they see and He's running the show and he's he's he's Approving the stuff and um again that's Been how it's been throughout um and you Know that it hasn't hasn't negatively
Affected Anything sorry um a few moments ago we Had a chance to talk to a few guys on The offense two of which described a Passion for you that they hadn't really Seen to that extent after the Bears Thing what did you want to express to Your teammates in addressing them after Um you know just obviously you know we We had to change we got to be better um And just have an urgency about it um you Know and it it's not just talking or or Or point fingers again all the stuff That you know talked about in the locker Room um you know applies to me and you Know again I'm grateful to be a part of A team where we all can look in the Mirror and all want to be better um but Just just just urgency um just urgency Of of changing things urgency of keeping You know making sure that we're staying In the building and keeping our Expectations um and what we do making Sure that we lean on each other for that Stuff and making sure that you know all The stuff that we talk about and that we Say that you know we work towards Regardless of whatever external factors May be whatever people may think just Making sure that we're holding ourselves Accountable to that and again that That's talking to myself and again I'm Grateful for it we we all have that we All have that mindset already um you
Know again we just have to act on it do A better job of that do a better job of It translating of of acting on it um Throughout the week and then again it Translate into Sundays um and you know Kind of just just urgency of it the Coach before he went and told the team That they were making a change that he Asked what you would like to see happen Or did y'all discuss it that way at all Or um this again uh that's above my you Know that's above above my pray grade um Again I I trust trust coach re um always Trust him and um with with with all Decisions like that and again for me um You know it it's still the same process Still similar process we still it's Still a collaborative effort um we're Still always Consulting each other on The meeting time you know meetings what We're talking about still the same um And again I I trust coach with that Stuff so um that stuff is you know that That's above my pay grade um for me just Making sure that um that we can execute Um and you know now if you know whatever Whoever it's been calling place it's Still it's our job to execute them it's Our job to make sure we're repping them And getting getting to the point where We can perfect him throughout the week And then um going to execute them on Sunday you guys are 30th in the league In offense 29th in score and why why
Should people believe that this um is Going to change at all this year for us You know we can't really control what People believe um you know I'm you know We're all super great grateful for the Fans um that stick by us and and the People that have supported us um and and Continue to support us we're very Grateful um for for all the Panthers Fans that have have have again that that Support us um ultimately I I can't I Can't control what people think or I Can't control what people believe and we Can't let that affect us um you know we Believe within this building uh I Believe in my teammates we all believe In each other we all believe in this Coaching staff we all believe in this Building and that's what matters to us That's what we can't control again the The fans that have that that that Believe and still and and you know want What's best for us and they support us Again we're super grateful for um but Ultimately you know we can't control What people on the outside may think um What they may believe and I you know Again people have the right to believe What they want uh for us um we're Focused on believing in the building Making sure we earn that right um and Again we believe in each other and you Know that's what we're focused on Bryce Uh following the cut down deadline you
Showed a lot of compassion to towards The teammates who got cut and and it Kind of seemed like it hit you pretty Hard losing all those teammates when you Have a guy who's blocked for you for Seven or eight games and you see him get Cut do did you ever get used to that or I mean how was that for you like he news Yeah um that's definitely not something Um that you get used to um hearing the News about rock That's yeah no you don't get you can't Get used to that Um again that yeah that's part of a Business the business business and you Know I you know trust the the the the Front office and the building um but it Doesn't make it any easier um again it's Not my job to be worried about Personnel Or to to decipher you know again I trust The front office but um yeah like that That that's hard um that you Know that that stuff is as difficult and Obviously more difficult for for him um You know I I feel for feel for thr like You said um you know I for me like you Know we you talk about some uh and I Feel like in different parts of life It's just like oh yeah someone has your Back and oh yeah he but like again like You said for multiple games like thr Literally puts his body on the line for My safety for it's been for weeks now And like again I don't I don't take that
Lightly like there's the literal like I Figurative like I got your back I do but Like people up front literally again put Their body through through Hing back and Go up against and to protect me and like Seeing again he I you know that's above My front office does what they do and I I I believe in them but it's yeah it's Um it it's hard it's you don't don't get Used to get used to seeing that and then David 10 rookie quarterbacks a new Record have started this year DTR is Going to take over for Deshawn and Cleveland can you put your finger on why The prevalence and and that that's been A growing trend is is it is it the Quarterback Camps is it the kind of Spread offenses and kind like how would You describe or why would you just why Would you say that has just become a Thing um this a good question honestly I Haven't really put any thought to it um You know I think it's I'm I'm super it's Really really cool to hear um it it it's Great to to see other guys other other Guys in the same situation um and you Know us being the same year and other Guys uh you know starting and and Getting those opportunities um it it's Really cool um it's really encouraging And just you know just being a part of This class I you know it's I always root For for for guys in my class so it's Really cool um I immediately I don't
Want to just sit up here and lie I Haven't really I didn't know that stat And I didn't really haven't put any Thought into it um but um it's really Cool how many of those guys would you Say you know on a pretty decent level um Again I don't I don't know exactly who The 10 are but I'd imagine I at least Again from I I imagine i' at least have Been around or talk to probably probably All of them um again I don't really know The 10 are but odds are pretty high her Street after he called the game on Thursday night said that you just don't Have the people around you to for to run The offense that you're probably most Comfortable with that they want to run With you out there do you feel like That's the case that that there not the Personnel for you to run the offense That ultimately they want you to run uh Not at all um not at all I I believe Wholeheartedly in the people in this Building um you know and the people Around me um and again this is this is The offense that I want to run this is What I want to be a part of I have Tremendous amount of faith in the Coaching staff the people around me um There's no there's no excuse there's no If there we're all again we're all Pros We're all professionals we've been Losing because we haven't been executing It hasn't there's not a there's not a
You know there's no like for me there's Not a there's not this silver line I we Have to as a unit and me being the Leader of that unit we have to execute Better um as a team we have to execute Better um we have to find ways to win Games there's no this isn't you know no One no one's coming and we don't need Anyone else we have what it takes and we Haven't shown that and we haven't proven That to the outside world um we know That within this building and again I I Get it um being the media people on the Outside everyone's going to have their Opinions and title their opinions um and That's part of sports but we have what It takes here we have it in the building Um and we haven't we haven't you know we Haven't put it on display and that's on Us so there's no um you know there's no Lack of faith um there there's no lack Of faith in the Personnel there's no Lack of faith in the coaching staff um At the end of the day a boys is down to Us executing us putting it on tape and Putting out field and um yeah we haven't Done the past but again it is what it is So throughout this week it's that same Mission just trying to go one and0 um do Everything we can throughout the week um You know turn things around and it's not All going to happen at once um today We're just focusing on to day right now After this try to have the best meeting
