In an exclusive 1-on-1 conversation with WCNC Charlotte’s Ashley Stroehlein, Carolina Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn reveals why the team has so much success on defense.

Horn, in his second year out of South Carolina, his quickly established himself as one of the top defensive backs in the NFL. Through 13 games, Horn has racked up 4 interceptions and 44 tackles for Carolina this season. With four games left, the Panthers sit just one game behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC South and control their playoff destiny.

“Having the same relationship off the field, we’re really brothers,” Horn said.

The second-year corner said he has daily conversations with Brian Burns and Shaq Thompson, which builds friendships away from the game that makes the Panthers stronger on NFL Sundays.

“I think it’s big that we’ve been playing well, we’re young and we’re close off the field, so it’s more success for us,” Horn told WCNC Charlotte.
