The city of Charlotte has something for everyone. Whether it is girls night with a glass of wine at a restaurant, guy’s night watching the game or family night with a movie in the park there is always something to do.
There is a large number of professional sports teams in Charlotte including the Carolina Panthers, the Charlotte Hornets (NBA), the Charlotte Checkers (AHL) and the Carolina Rhinos (Major League Lacrosse). Many university students take advantage of the inexpensive tickets for these sporting events and spend their weekends cheering on their local heroes with friends.
The weather in Charlotte is fantastic with sunny, warm summers and mild winters. One of the best things about Charlotte is that it is not a big city and so it is pretty calm. This makes it a great place for anyone who wants to live in the middle of the country but still have access to all the things that a major metro area has to offer. For those who love to be outdoors, Charlotte has amazing springs, beautiful summers and breathtaking fall foliage. It is also a golfers paradise with over 300 courses located in and around the city. Lastly, the culture enthusiast will find that there is never an end to what they can enjoy in Charlotte thanks to the numerous concert venues and performing arts centers like the Levine Center for the Arts. However, you should be aware of the high income taxes in Charlotte.
