Moving to Charlotte North Carolina

The city’s modern downtown area, Uptown, is home to the Levine Museum of the New South, which explores post–Civil War Southern history, and hands-on science displays at Discovery Place. The city is also famous for its NASCAR Hall of Fame.

Spring and fall are both beautiful times to move to Charlotte because the changing leaves transform the city’s dense tree canopy into a riot of color. Temperatures are milder than summertime, and the humidity is lower. These are ideal conditions for outdoor activities like hiking and biking.

For those who enjoy playing golf, there are a few notable country clubs in the city. The most popular one is Cedarwood, which is located near Renaissance park. There are a few public golf courses in the city as well.

When it comes to entertainment, the city has major league sports teams for both football and basketball, a professional soccer team, and minor league baseball and hockey teams. NASCAR fans are also well-served, with the Charlotte Motor Speedway and the NASCAR Hall of Fame both based here.

Compared to other large cities, Charlotte has a relatively low cost of living. The city’s average apartment rent and median home price are both below the national average. However, a significant number of people have to drive to work, and traffic can be bad on some major roads. Fortunately, the city has an extensive bus system and a light rail line that connects most of the major neighborhoods.
