Those looking to make the most of their free time will be happy to hear that there are more than 35 miles of greenways for walking, biking, or jogging. Charlotte is also close to the Blue Ridge Mountains, so you’ll never be far from a scenic hiking trail or secluded beach.
With a lower cost of living than most US cities and a booming economy, Charlotte is a great place to move for work. The city has a high percentage of residents working in finance, banking, and insurance. However, there are a number of other industries as well, including healthcare, technology, and automotive. Several large companies, such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Red Ventures, and Lowe’s are headquartered in Charlotte.
