Charlotte, NC, has a number of great restaurants. The culinary scene here is booming, and restaurants range from traditional southern barbecue to Japanese-inspired dishes. Summertimes in Charlotte are warm and humid, but the nights are cool and pleasant. Duke Energy, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo are just a few of the larger employers. The job market in Charlotte is dominated by jobs in finance and insurance, as well as health and social services. However, as the area grows more diversified, tech is also gaining importance. Amazon has huge warehouses in the Charlotte area, and the Charlotte Checkers play minor-league hockey.
