The Best Places to Live in Charlotte, North Carolina
If you’re looking for a job, Charlotte, North Carolina is the place to look. The city is home to a wide variety of industries. Some of the largest employers are American Airlines, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo. The job market is heavily focused in the Finance, Insurance, and Health Care sectors. However, tech companies are also starting to make a dent in the area, and Amazon has several massive warehouses here.
The area around Charlotte was first settled by European colonists around 1755. In this area, Thomas Spratt, a great-uncle of U.S. President James K. Polk, built a home near the intersection of two Native American trading paths. One of these paths curved north-south along the Great Wagon Road, while the other ran east-west along Trade Street.
Charlotte’s culture and arts scene is rich and diverse. The city is home to the Charlotte Ballet, the Charlotte Symphony, and Opera Carolina. It is also home to the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Hornets, and Charlotte Knights. There’s also the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The city has a humid subtropical climate with four distinct seasons.
Aside from being a large city, Charlotte has a very pleasant climate. The temperature ranges between 42 and 79 degrees, making it the perfect place to live for those who prefer a mild climate. However, Charlotte’s climate does fluctuate a bit, and during the summer it can be very hot and muggy.
