Some strong storms rolled through Wednesday morning mainly between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. A total of 1-3 inches of rain fell from Charlotte to Chester County from Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning. The worst of the weather is now done.

Yeah, this heavy rain and Thunderstorm activity, Brad, Definitely caused a lot of damage down here, Of course in Chester County, But even across the Carolinas earlier today, We're of course in Edgemoor. That's in Chester County, Where one resident had to help the Fire department drag a large tree Because it was blocking a road. That tree now of course Living in his front yard. Now, Dennis Murphy did say that The storms were pretty bad, But only for a short period Of time this morning. It was extremely rough for about 10 minutes. Winds blew real bad. I could see trash blowing, trash cans, Limbs breaking off and all that. But you know, just there wasn't Your typical little afternoon storm. Yeah, not your typical afternoon storm. Take a look at your screen right now. This is a group here, A cluster of storm reports of trees down In the same area of Chester County. We also noticed a few utility workers As we are driving around out and about, But they seem to have completed Any of their repairs. Charlotte North Carolina is an enchanting and comfortable place to live. It offers something for everybody. From outdoor recreation to museums, Charlotte has an array of activities that will make you fall in love.
The city’s name comes from Queen Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, who was the queen consort of King George III. Charlotte was established in 1750. Lord Cornwallis, a British general, tried to occupy the town in 1780. But he was met with stiff local resistance.
Today, Charlotte is home to seven Fortune 500 companies. Nucor, one of the largest steel makers, is headquartered here. Other top employers include Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Lowe’s.
The city is a popular location for college graduates. UNC-Charlotte offers a steady flow of graduates, as does Central Piedmont Community College.
Charlotte has a well-developed system of public transportation. This includes a rail line and LYNX bus system. Most people rely on cars to get around, however.
Charlotte is known for its warm Southern hospitality. Many of its residents are devoted churchgoers.
One of Charlotte’s most notable attractions is its annual Festival in the Park. Held in Freedom Park in the fall, this event features live music, food, and art exhibits. A major focus of the festival is local foods, including Latin cuisine.
There are many different festivals that take place in Charlotte. The New Music Festival, for example, features concerts and music workshops.
While Charlotte’s climate is generally mild, the winters can be cold. Charlotte typically sees snow once or twice a year.
