What might have happened last night? He calls this commotio cordis. So this is a rare cardiac episode. It could happen when there is sudden Blunt impact to your chest at a critical Time in the cycle of your heartbeat. The American Heart Association Says incidents like this have Primarily happened in sports, Actually in baseball, And it is extremely rare, With 10 to 20 cases reported per year. But it does happen. If the heart is sort of stimulated At the wrong moment in time, There's a very vulnerable Period when the heart is kind Of recovering electrically.
And if you stimulated it that Wrong period of time, That one in a million thing, You can suddenly go into an abnormal rhythm. Charlotte, North Carolina is an excellent place for families to relocate. The city is located in the Piedmont region of the state. It is considered one of the best places in the United States to get a job. Aside from its employment opportunities, the city features a wide variety of recreational activities, museums, and restaurants.
In the early years of the 19th century, the Charlotte area was a plantation economy, although the discovery of gold sparked a growth in trade. As the economy developed, the city began to build new railroad lines. These rail connections tied the city to the national economy.
After the Civil War, the town became a center for industry. Cotton was still the mainstay of the economy, though. Other factories made gunpowder and wool goods.
The Southern Power Company won over mill owners who used steam. It also provided low-cost rates, which attracted hundreds of industries to the Charlotte area.
In 1887, the Charlotte street railways started running. Although the last one stopped operations in 1938, Charlotte hasn’t lost its streetcar tradition.
Today, Charlotte is the 16th largest city in the United States. Aside from its traditional manufacturing industry, the city is also known as “The New Energy Capital.” Hundreds of energy companies are located in the city. Some of these include Fluor, Duke Energy, AREVA, and Siemens Energy.
Charlotte has also become a center for civil rights activity. During the 1950s and 1960s, the city was one of the most active cities in the country.
