Take away from camp the last couple of Days I get used to humidity For sure For sure [Music] Um Having the experience of playing at Miami and then moving to Oregon D is it Kind of like that where you're just kind Of going from one program to the other Or are you noticing kind of a difference In that transition well definitely a big Difference Um College to college versus uh College You know a bigger stage is you could Tell the difference between on the the Pros that's already here Um and me having to earn my stripes and Get up to you know their level as far as The speed as far as the knowledge and All that good stuff That your style of play fits into what They're trying to do right now I think It feels real good I'm a fast and Physical player and that's the way they Coach Jamie Robinson was another Defensive Rookie seems like he's he talks a lot Right what's it been like playing with Him on the field he's been dope uh he Got great energy Um a lot of vocal dude you know where He's at on the field um whether your Offense or defense
You guys both talked about in your post Draft press conferences that you wanted To prove you know yourself right away It do you find that to be like a Defensive player's mindset all the time Anyway is that is that something you Guys think about a lot yeah I think it Should um whenever you go into any new Environment you want to make sure you Earn your stripes and earn your keep Make sure you know that you're getting There that you're not just here to just Like oh I made it it's like no I'm here To keep improving like everybody else First couple of days in the league what Have you gathered these past two days Going to be off the field or on the Field that just comes to mind when I ask You that keep improving improve my Technique uh improve my habits improve My my daily routine stuff like that just Keep finding things to improve because That's what everybody else is doing and Speaking of everyone else so Ricky Lee He's trying he's trying to prove himself Coming from a small College what are Your impressions of his abilities I like His energy I like the way he plays Football I'm excited to you know see What else he could bring You talk about improving your Technique It looked like some of the coaches were Working with you on your hands Specifically out there what are some of
The things that they've kind of put on Your plate these last two days that You're kind of intentionally looking at Going into Camp working on uh make sure I get a full extension um trying to Bench press guys like from college uh It's a different level guys are a lot Stronger um so I gotta get those bad Habits from college out of my system So sign the rookie contract how special Of a moment was that for you obviously The draft's a big moment but how was Signing the contract it was dope uh Especially because like you only signed Your first contract one time so it was a Great moment um I made sure you let the Film knowing all that good stuff and uh But uh celebratory could happen you know After the season What's the first purchase first purchase Uh probably just uh rent a house and Then make some good Investments What's it been like working with uh Igiro ibero out there first couple days Just tell me what that's like it's been Dope um he's an intense guy but still uh Light enough where you know he enjoys it You enjoy it a great dude to be around I'm excited to get coastbound this Season what way he seems almost quiet Yeah it's like a Stern type type yeah Like what what what's he like as a coach Uh already you know one of my favorite Coaches I've been coached by
Um he's similar to where he got that Sternness with certain things but still Light-hearted where you enjoying Yourself but still getting business done They brought up setting the edge quite a Bit you know uh in talking about that How how much do you have to focus on That like obviously everybody wants to Get sacks and everything like that but How focused are you on suddenly yeah Yeah I don't write the password so stop And runs first thing outside back to my Job so it's a big Focus you remind Yourself you're a pro now okay Have yourself like Pinching yourself uh no it was something That you know been working for for a Long time so uh now is just trying to Make sure I'm doing Pro habits more than Anything How far back have y'all looked at Defenses Um when you're studying the 3-4 and what You're trying to do oh probably from the Last couple of uh Seasons just teams They've been on um and just showing us Kind of how things are supposed to look What should we work with him so far I Mean he's a lot older but it was I don't Know if you remember his first coach Here what's he like out there with you Yeah he's dope um has a lot of knowledge For sure um but he's that guy who's There always watching
Um even like we're in meetings or Something like that he's a guy you could Go find if you got some questions or Something he'll know what he's talking About
