Rain continues overnight into Wednesday morning
Let's turn the page now to the forecast Chief meteorologist Brad panovich Standing by with a very busy radar Behind him yeah a lot of rain out there Tonight you're going to need that Umbrella and the rain jacket tomorrow Morning for sure because we've got more Of this on the way this is pushing out Right now the back Edge just pushing Through the mountains but we're still Seeing some drizzle what I'm watching to Our Southwest is new storms developing Now in parts of Mississippi and Alabama There's actually a new tornado watch Until 4 a.m local time it's 5 a.m our Time here central time there for parts Of Alabama so that's a line that we got To watch heading our way for about late Morning and maybe midday tomorrow so Hour by hour forecast see scattered Showers this evening into the early Morning hours kind of a lull and then Right around 10 to 11 A.M that next wave Of rain and that's the one that Potentially could be strong or severe in The middle of the day so if you're Looking for a time frame where we might See some really rough weather At 10 11 A.M noon one two o'clock time Frame will be the area I'm watching you See the risk for severe storms tonight Where that new tornado watch is Currently in effect tomorrow will be in This low end risk we'll have to see
Areas south and east might go into that Medium risk if we see the ingredients Come together and what do those Ingredients will be the thunderstorm Fuel which is low right now Flooding is going to be a big concern Winds by far we saw some wind damage up In parts of Watauga County tornado Threats not zero but it's there it's About one maybe two percent probability Of a tornado within 25 miles of any Point on the map you see the lull Tomorrow morning and then right around Eight nine o'clock in the morning next Wave arrives it's going to be around Through about middle of the day so Right around lunchtime so leaving for Lunch might be a little rough and that Is a line that could have some strong Winds should movies quickly so by the Time the afternoon bus time should be Okay so the afternoon commute's looking Pretty good once that line pushes out And then drier and cooler air will take A while to filter in here not so much on Thursday but more so on Friday now that Fuel for these storms notice not a lot Overnight through the morning hours but Then briefly we see some red get up here Or especially south of me so those are The areas that are probably the highest Risk for seeing a strong storm or two During the day tomorrow especially in The middle of the day as far as rain
Goes Additional rain is all going to be Tomorrow it's really going to be the Best chance of rain in the next five Days as we get into the middle and end Of the weekend we might see a few Sprinkles here and there but I think we Really have to wait till next week to See that next batch of rain so flooding Will be a concern tomorrow certainly Could see additional rain on the other Half an inch three quarters of an inch We've already seen if we get another one To two three inches some of these Localized areas could see flash flood Warning so just be cautious there's Going to be some standing water around At some point tomorrow but long range There's a sign after this warm-up we're Going to see temperatures cools at least Near average by this weekend and then by Late next week significant signs there's Going to be a cool down by the following Weekend your Guy Roofing seven-day Forecast shows the mild stormy weather For the middle of the week then slightly Cooler for the upcoming weekend as we go Into next week another strong storm Possible early in the week should really Cool us down by the end and maybe Getting back to more winter like weather By the following weekend

Charlotte, North Carolina – A Hot Spot For Families
Charlotte is a city in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. It’s located east of the Catawba River, which was named after the Catawba Indians who lived in the area until the 1750s.
The Charlotte area is considered a hot spot for families. Charlotte is home to a number of cultural centers and excellent health care facilities. As a result, the area attracts a steady influx of college graduates.
Charlotte’s population grew from 1,065 in 1850 to 2,265 in 1860. By 1910, Charlotte had overtaken Wilmington as the largest city in North Carolina.
Charlotte’s economy shifted from agriculture to trade. In the first two decades of the twentieth century, Charlotte became the center of a large textile manufacturing district. This led to Charlotte becoming a major wholesale and wholesaling center.
The arrival of new highways in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries contributed to the growth of Charlotte as a distribution center. During the New South boom, Charlotte was a hub of eight rail lines.
In 1921, the state of North Carolina established a “Good Roads” program, which led to the construction of a network of paved highways. These highways were vital to the city’s development as a distribution and trucking center for the Southeastern United States.
Several large mills were built in the early 1900s, including three cotton mills. Other factories made gunpowder and wool goods. Some factories also produced chemicals.
Charlotte’s economy continued to expand in the 1920s. The Ford Motor Company shipped parts to Charlotte in quantity during the early teens. Later in the decade, a new assembly line plant opened on Statesville Road.
