As one of the biggest cities in the Southeast, Charlotte is a bustling hub for business and culture. It is also home to several university campuses including UNC-Charlotte, Queens, Davidson, and Johnson & Wales. The city has a huge range of educational options for families with public, charter, and private schools as well as Montessori and Waldorf style institutions.
The city offers many opportunities to live an active lifestyle with outdoor activities and plenty of parks and green spaces. In addition to this, the region is home to many thriving sports teams such as the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Hornets and Charlotte Checkers.
There is a great sense of community in Charlotte with many festivals and events held throughout the year to bring people together. These can include everything from food and wine weeks to performing arts showcases.
Charlotte has a comfortable climate with warm summers and winters. Temperatures rarely go above 95 degrees and the city sees a lot of sunshine ā with the best months to enjoy outdoor activities being from early May through mid June and from late August to early October.
Charlotte is a very diverse city with a large population of African American, white, and Hispanic residents. It is also home to a number of different religious groups with the largest concentration being Southern Baptists. The area is also a big stronghold for various types of Protestantism with Roman Catholics, Methodists and Presbyterians being popular as well.
