Hidden Valley neighborhood works together to overcome negative views on community.

[Music] I'm born and raised in Hidden Valley all My life and Hidden Valley has always Been a great Community we have our rough Spots our ups and downs like any Community but Community Um this community is a prestigious Community black community black owned Businesses you would never know the Jewels that are in this community unless You got out into the community to find Out I have lived in Hidden Valley since 1977. Of over 40 years and what the what Hidden Valley means to me is it's home I've seen a lot of changes over the Years but I've never been afraid enough To leave and I've never stopped loving Hidden Valley from the moment of 27 and 29 year old couple brought this and Walked in and decided this is where we Would make our home and raise our family Didn't Valley strong that's our motto Um it's a a growing community of young Young to malays families we have some Folk at the age in the community Asian Place you know the homes aren't as big As face some of them are but you know You know quaint homes and and you know We raise our families here just as we Were raising we have always been a very Resilient Community as a child I moved Over here in fifth grade

Um went to Hidden Valley Elementary School and You know solid great Community where Families were really connected it's a Great place to live and you know we're On one Accord and we love one another And our neighbors know one another And it's a great place to call home [Music]

Autumn is an absolute stunner in Charlotte, with gorgeous foliage that turns into a show-stopping display of color. The city becomes more lively in the Spring, and Summer is bright, hot and humid.

Charlotte is a large city with lots of options for getting around. The LYNX light rail connects several neighborhoods, and bus transportation is an affordable option.
