Charlotte North Carolina has a lot to offer and is one of the fastest growing cities in America. It is a place where newcomers are quickly welcomed and people are quick to show their friendliness, making it easy to make friends.
Life
Charlotte is a great place to live, offering families and young adults a high quality of life and excellent education systems. The city is home to UNC-Charlotte, Queens University, Central Piedmont Community College and Johnson & Wales University.
Sports
Charlotte has many big name sporting teams to choose from, including football, baseball and basketball. There are also several local sports teams and a variety of fun sporting events to attend.
Weather
Summers in Charlotte can be very hot, with average temperatures in the 70s. The weather changes dramatically during the fall when all the leaves turn colors and the air becomes much cooler.
Winters are also very mild, with snow falling rarely and temperatures staying warm. The average temperature in January is a very comfortable 55 degrees F.
Schools
Charlotte has 175 primary and secondary schools to choose from, including neighborhood schools, charter schools and low-income scholarship schools. There are also a number of private, Montessori and Waldorf-style schools available to students.
