Things to Do in Charlotte North Carolina

Charlotte has all four seasons – it is a hot place in the summer, but cool and mild in the winter. Fall foliage in the city’s mountains is absolutely breathtaking. The colder months tend to be milder than those in the northern United States, but the city still gets a few inches of snow each year. Summers can be hot, but not nearly as hot as those in the southern states.

If you’re looking for things to do in Charlotte, the city is filled with attractions. For example, you can check out the museum of science and nature. Visitors can see a planetarium and experience IMAX movies. You can also find many parks and attractions in the city, including the Romare Bearden Park and the Levine Museum of the New South.

If you love art, the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art is a must-see attraction in Charlotte. It houses more than a million pieces of art and hosts rotating exhibitions. The museum is open daily except for Tuesday. It’s open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays are free.

If you’re into history, you can visit the Levine Museum of the New South. This museum tells the history of the region, and it has several exhibits dedicated to southern music and the civil rights movement. Over the years, it has become home to some famous exhibits, including The Confederate Yard, which details the Confederate arsenal in Charlotte. In addition, you can visit The Road to Freedom, which depicts the African American experience in the city.
