Lilly spoke about his thoughts on Tommy Tremble and Hayden Hurst.
Wanted to ask you uh you guys some of us Were surprised you guys didn't uh draft The tight end Um talk about the group you've got now And is there anybody you thinking can Step up and be I mean maybe Hayden uh a Solid receiver a tight end something They've really lacked here since Greg Olsen Well I think part of not drafting a Tight end is because we did have a Pretty good feeling about the room As it exists right now Um you know and really all those guys as We've been out there particularly being On the field the last whatever it's been Three four weeks it's been really good For us it's been interesting to be able To see the guys move around the way they Learn the way they work all those kind Of things and obviously adding Hayden to The mix in there but I think there's a lot of uh a lot of Potential in the room and I think that's Probably where that decision stemmed From And what it I introduced myself Davidnewton espn.com Um what do you expect of tremble this Year what's he got to do to kind of take His game to another level You know I think one big thing with with Tommy is he entered the league at 20 Years old so he's got two years in the
League and he's still just 22 right now I think he I think maybe he has a Birthday next month but he's still a Young player you look at most of the Guys pray that were drafted and they are Older right now than than what he is so I think it's uh you know I think it's Kind of time for him to take another Step but I think he he made a great Decision in the off season and he stayed Here he trained all off season I've been Very impressed with just the way he's Approached the day-to-day and and trying To pick it all up and then go take it to The field Thank you very much sure Anything else for Coach Lee I don't see Any hands just want to make sure to give You guys the opportunity I'm good if not All right awesome thank you
