First when I moved to Charlotte I think I was few months here I started feeling As I want to give back to my immigrant Community and the first organization That caught my eye was international House they reached out to me they said Yes we are more than welcome to have you As our adult ESL teacher assistant Great that moment when I was I found Myself in the classroom helping a Teacher teaching other immigrants Different adult immigrants English I've Realized this is exactly what I want to Do so I just apply for my Master's in Teaching English a second language and Yeah the rest it seems like it's a History once you get to know people from Different parts of the world you realize That we are all the same our common Ground is Charlotte right so how do we Find ourselves in Charlotte Charlotte is So big and growing so much that I Believe there's something for everybody Here
Charlotte North Carolina – A Vibrant City With Balanced Cost of Living and Plenty to Do
A vibrant city with a thriving economy, balanced cost of living and plenty to do, Charlotte is one of the top relocation destinations. Its cosmopolitan, fast-paced culture is paired with a southern charm that can be seen in the historic neighborhoods of Charlotte as well as the many local farms that supply ingredients to the city’s restaurants and bars.
A diverse city, Charlotte’s population is made up of many cultures that are welcomed and celebrated. From Oktoberfest merriment and holiday escapades to spring food festivals, gripping basketball games and summer fireworks displays you’ll always find something going on in Charlotte.
For sports fans, Charlotte has professional teams at all levels including the NBA’s Hornets and NFL’s Panthers. It’s also the home of NASCAR’s All-Star Race, the Coca-Cola 600 and other important events.
When it comes to education, Charlotte is a hub for higher learning. The city boasts colleges such as Davidson, UNCC and several other institutions that attract students from around the country. There is also a strong corporate presence in Charlotte with major companies like Bank of America, Lowe’s and American Airlines having their headquarters or large distribution centers in the area.
The weather in Charlotte is a mixture of hot and humid in the summers with mild, sunny winters. The city is known for its burgeoning craft beer scene, with seemingly hundreds of local breweries and wineries. The mild but muggy climate in the summer is ideal for growing beautiful gardens and roses, but beware of mosquitoes that can run rampant through the season.
