The following is an exclusive Presentation of the Carolina Panthers And the National Football League on this episode of the Panthers Huddle a fresh new start coming off the Bye the Carolina Panthers look to turn Things around at home against the Houston Texans a talented young team With a solid Arsenal Thomas Davis is Here to break down the xes and O's Behind this week's game plus Julius Peppers and musen Muhammad reflect on Their remarkable careers before taking Their place among the Panthers alltime Greates hello and welcome inside this Hall of Honor edition of the Panthers Huddle I'm Carla Gart and the Panthers Are coming off a much needed bye Following a disappointing ow and six Start the time off of course gives them A chance to learn from their past Failures and move quickly past them into The second half of the season I thought The guys came back with the right Attitude I think everybody's excited I Think everybody feels like we come back After after the buy I mean it's 0 and0 One and0 and it truly is I mean we got 11 games left while we wait to see what Happens before Tuesday's trade deadline We know at least two big names could be Back in the Panthers lineup Sunday They're guys that we mentioned last week In guard Austin Corbett and safety

Xavier Woods they're expected to play This week after recovering from injuries It is possible Von Bell could also be Joining them as well a boost in depth Badly needed after two more names on Def Defense were added to the injured Reserve list Jeremy chin Andor GMOs both Placed on IR this week and will miss at Least the next four games another blow To a defense struggling to stay healthy On offense a possible return for running Back my sanders would mean more options For offensive coordinator Thomas Brown As he assumes the play calling duties This is the best I feel throughout the Whole season I've been playing banged up The whole season had some injuries Starting from from Camp so uh I feel uh This the first time I've kind of feel 100% kind of uh during the season so uh We'll see see how that how that works Out you know you can tell that they um You know they fly to the football they Attack the football they try to get it Out um and they they really have guys at Each level that um are playing really Well even some guys that maybe don't Necessarily have the big name or things Like that but you can tell on tape that They're playing at a high level and and Really making a name for themselves two Legends will be inducted into the Panthers Hall of Honor this Sunday pep And moose may have played on opposite

Sides of the ball but both were fan Favorites here in Charlotte playing a Huge role in elevating the franchise Here's a look back at the careers of mus Muhammad and Julius Peppers in this Hall Of Honor edition of the Bojangles rewind When you talk about these two guys you Talk about um guys that give their all Man this is what it's about these two Guys right here going in this new class From day one of mini camp moose was Going to be in the line that's a rarity With rookies it's it's really rare fires Over the middle touchdown M Mohamed well First of all like it's definitely eye Opening when you walk out there and you See a big ass receiver like moose the First impression was like you know That's a wi receiver M Muhammad is not Like a slender receiver he's a built Dude if I would have to describe musen Muhammad in one word it would be Toughness if mus in there it was going To be a thing of beauty he played Defense but on Offense we played the Saints and I threw A smoke out to him we were inside the 10 And moose could have made a move and Maybe get to the pylon yeah let me just Run right through him and the safety Might have come and just I'm going right Through both of Them well that's that's all you need to Know about the physicality of moose

Moose was the ability to catch the short Tough pass get the crap knocked at him Get he bounced back up and he could also Go deep he he was a a threat in so many Different ways the most important thing A receiver has to have is really good Hands and he Did in all the years that I've covered The team moose was always that light he Was always that fun you know football Players are often compared to Gladiators we were there to get the Crowd into it make the game Fun and when I heard that moose call and The fans that would yell it gave me Energy touchdown M Mohamed I don't know A lot of people wonder about my Touchdown dance and where it came from You know my first love sport was Basketball and so if I scored on you That means I just crossed you up touch Panthers the hatrick for moose he's got Three scores you know I think you know Whenever you talk about a receiver you Just think about pass catches number of Catches one of the things we stressed There and and he reacted to was doing All your job and I loved him because he Liked the Dirty Work moose was a dog you look on film he Got some of the most devastating blocks I took pride in my blocking cornerbacks And safeties hated to guard him because He blocked them like an offensive

Lineman he would start blocking them at Maybe the let's say the 30 yd line and He would not stop until he got to the Concession stand he had the if you ever Looked at his hands there were vice Grips and when he'd latch on to somebody And he would just kind of laugh and Moose that's so smooth way he'd laugh And he'd block them and they would hurt He might have been as good a blocking Z Receiver that's ever played in the League for these two guys who going at The same time it it it's just it's Perfect there's no better person to go In offensively and then you look at Defensively Julius Frasier Peppers to Sum up Julius Peppers in one Word gosh this is such a bad word but It's the truth Freak he's not just an athlete he's a Freak athlete and he's probably the best Athlete I've ever been around speed the Quickness I mean at his size was Just yeah there's no other word just he Was he was a freak athlete we really we Ran out of adjectives we ran out of Superlatives we just did because every Time he stepped on the field it was Something new it was something we hadn't Seen Before he was built to go chase Quarterbacks that was who he was if you Have a quarterback on the field you want To make sure Julius Peppers is another

Time zone and peppers got to him 285 lbs Of pure rip muscle and connective [Music] Tissue he was God's gift to the game of Football he's a Machine he was just a freak and Everything that he did his length speed Size and his strength forever will be Unmatched joyous is a guy that could Take over a Game picked off it's Peppers there's Just so many phenomenal plays that he's Made let me tell you something he either Going to give me my respect while I'm Going take it so how you want it how you Want it how you want It just P baller one PE got him again I Mean that was a direct hit they can't Handle you on the Outside hands off me man Rogers is sack Julius Peppers my first impression I was Like man if guys could not get bigger And faster it just did it just Happened I think that the guys that are Put into the Hall of Honor are being Honored for being a founding father of This franchise when you have players That have been superb at their jobs and Recognizing them for their contributions To me that's the that's one of the Highest Honors that any player coach GM Anybody affiliated with the franchise Could possibly get this exclusive Presentation of the Carolina Panthers

Television network is brought to you in Part by Bank of America official Bank of The Carolina Panthers after a week off the Panthers Had a chance to regroup before a Showdown against the Houston Texans our On anise shof talked with Coach Frank Reich about getting ahead with that Extra week and the inevitable Comparisons and R here with Panthers Head coach Frank Reich by week is over Do you have uh some time to decompress Take your mind off some things a little Bit um got away for a day with my wife That was relaxing enjoyable um for you Or her well for both of us I think and Uh we had a good time so but there's Still a little bit always in the back of Your mind um you know getting ready for You know coming off the buy taking all All that self Scout information looking Forward to kind of getting back to work And against Houston you've used that Word self Scout quite a bit when you Look back at the first six games what Are a few things that you know kind of H Hit the alarm bells for you good or bad Well first of all there's some things You see okay that tendency that Percentage might be a little high we Need to balance that off we don't want Teams to get a beat on that and we kind Of look at it week to week and we're in A mode so I think we're good but we

There's a couple things we think we can Balance off a little bit more And then you know there's some you know I don't want to go into the particulars But there's a couple things hey we need To do more of this and we need to attack Defenses in this way we saw glimmers of It but we didn't quite execute on a few Things that we think we can tighten up And and get a little bit better in those Areas having two weeks to prepare for an Opponent um how much of that time is Spent preparing on that next opponent we We do get ahead with that first week and It and it makes the the the actual game Week it takes a little bit of the time Crunch off of it so um that that's a Good thing but we don't get so far out In front um that it it gets old and Stale so um you know I think we had the Right mix of it feel you know where the Coaches and so like last week when we Had the players in and we're running Plays we're getting a we're previewing a Couple things but we're really not Installing it until this week I know you Guys scouted CJ Stout heavily leading up To the draft so you guys have some Familiarity with their rookie Quarterback what on tape jumps out about What you see from their guy he's he he's Playing great from the pocket he's uh Very accurate and and really making good You know one interception after six

Games as a rookie that's very impressive Um so you know I'm happy for you know I Root for all these quarterbacks you know And you get to know him in the draft Process and so you really pull for him So um not surprised at the success he's Having um you know be a good challenge This week how do you keep it from not Becoming a a Bryce versus CJ kind of Deal because again are they going to be Linked together yes but 10 years down The road not 7 weeks into their rookie Season yeah and that's you know that That's where you tell Bryce you know Listen this is more about the 10-year Pitcher than the one you know for either One of them if I was talking you know This doesn't come down to who wins this Game and who doesn't win this game um You know and and really and of course we Know uh that we're going against Bryce Is going against their defense and vice Versa so internally this is just more About this is more about us getting Ready to play our next game is there a Little something special to it is there Going to be a little hoopla and and Stuff we think that's great that's what This league is all about building up Those games like that but right when it Comes right down to it this is you know Bryce versus their defense and vice Versa uh the running game and I know You've harped on that hey we got to find

A way to get the Run game going uh with What chuba hubard has shown you has he Now put himself in a position where There's a bigger role potentially for Him there's no doubt he has earned a Spot to continue to get you know plenty Of carries um it's always hard to Predict exactly how many carries you Know the guys are going to get but no Doubt um the way he's run um he he Deserves to stay in the mix at the Forefront of things getting a bunch of Carries we're hopeful to have Austin Corbett back what does that addition Mean to the entire offense if he plays It'll be my first game with him playing So but from when I got here watching the Tape of him last year just a very Physical player um very smart player and A real Alpha leader you know so um if he Continues to progress and has a good Chance we' be excited to get him back in There uh one of the neat things that'll Happen Sunday musen Muhammad and Julius Peppers going into the Hall of Honor I Know moose got to Carolina right after You left but you had a chance to sort of Follow his career and watch him when you Think of a wide receiver like moose what Comes to mind just a completely Physically dominant player you know Would do anything and I did get to know Him I live two houses you know we Weren't quite neighbors with one house

In between us that was John Casey by the Way um ton of respect for moose Ultimate Team player Ultimate tough guy and just A playmaker on top of that so and then Julius I mean you know didn't get to Know him as well have gotten to know him A little bit but just legendary like Just a beast um for so great for so long Really a great honor for those guys you Played with a Bruce Smith and I think of A Peppers guys that big are not supposed To move the way he moves and not Supposed to pick off passes no like That's not fair it's not fair and then But what what's interesting is they're Physically just bigger and better than Everybody else and move better but Really what sets guys like Julius apart And like as you mentioned Bruce Smith Are they are some of the smartest Football players that you ever around And and you realize it takes all of that To be going up on the wall you know you Got to have all those qualities Frank FR Head coach of the Carolina Panthers closed captioning for the Panthers television network is provided By Charlotte Eye Ear Nose and Throat Associates helping you enjoy the sights And sounds of the NFL all season [Music] Long All right it is time for TD's film room Once again we're coming off a bye TD so

We're looking ahead to our opponent the Houston Texans they're a very young team But they're very talented as well right They are a very talented team and coming Into this season I was really wondering Where they were going to find their Offensive production because they got Rid of cooks in the off season so I'm Like who are they going to throw the Football to well they figured it out They got a guy by the name of niik who's A very special player they get the ball To him in so many different ways and We're going to show you a play here in a Second on how they figure out ways to Get him the football but they also went Out and drafted a kid in tank Dale who's Making a ton of ways for them Offensively so we're going to jump right Into this film right now and as you can See look at this formation right now Nico Collins is going to run this deep Over and he's gonna all almost look like He's running a post route and he's going To bend it back and just watch CJ stra Put this ball on the Money watching this play develop this Shows you Nico Collins's ability to run Away from Defenders and break those Tackles from these DBS so he has to be a Very strong player is what that's Telling me on film so I DBS have to be Ready to make sure that they wrap him up Good and CJ Stout another rookie

Quarterback he's doing well so far this Season yeah he he is doing well but we Got to focus in on this defensive side Because they they drafted another Another kid in the first round that is Making a ton of ways for them Defensively Will Anderson is a kid that I've been watching way back since his Since his days at Alabama and I knew When this kid was a freshman he was Going to be special I thought that he Should have been the one that finished Second in the Heisman race to Bryce yes He was Bryce Young's teammate Bryce had An opportunity to watch this guy a lot In practice so they should benefit him In some ways in understanding what will Anderson is capable of doing but right Here we talked about how special he is Of a talent but this is one thing that I Love to see from Young Players watch him He gets held on this play but he keeps Going he keeps fighting and he ends up With this sack he didn't allow this guy Holding him to deter him from getting That sack so what that says to me is This kid not only wants to be great he Works hard at doing the things that he Needs to be so that he can become a Great player right here this also shows His play awareness he don't sit back and And wait to see and hesitate if the Quarterback still has the ball he plays This play full speed down the line he

Know that Atlanta loves to hand the ball Off to bejon Robinson and watch Will Anderson on this play watch how special Of a player he is so our offense has to Absolutely know where this guy is at all Times just look at him look at this Speed the burst and his finish on this Play Will Anderson is a phenomenal Player we got to make sure that we're Locked in on everywhere that he is on This field we'll show you this from this Angle right here just watch how he Scrapes completely flat down the line And does a great job of wrapping this Running back up getting them to the Ground for this tackle for a loss so These are some of the things that we Have to be locked in from the Houston Texans because they are not the same Team that we watched last year Deo Ryan Has done a phenomenal job of preparing These guys so we got to be ready to play Right here in Bank of America Stadium so We can get this first win yeah first win At home that's what we want this weekend TD don't go anywhere we've got your Three keys to the game coming up [Music] Here a perennial High School Powerhouse In the Carolinas is unveiling an upgrade To their football field this week thanks To some help from the NFL and the Carolina Panthers is this week's Coke Community Spotlight a ribbon cutting

Ceremony was held at Reedville High School School Wednesday unveiling their New football field the upgraded Facilities were funded with the help of The Carolina Panthers who assisted the School in securing a $250,000 Grassroots Grant from the NFL Foundation the new field was named after Legendary coach Jimmy Teague who led the Reedville Rams to eight straight titles Over 26 years before retiring last Season he was also named the 2022 Carolina Panthers High School coach of The year the name Teague not only lives On the field but it's still in the Coach's room as well as Teague son Eric Is now the head coach of the Rams I Almost hate that it's named after me Because it ain't Jimmy teag that's done All this it's a whole bunch of folks who I've been able to be associated with Who've done this you know I I I would Like to put all those names on the field It's not Jimmy TIG did this it's a whole Lot of folks who did this all right TD Is back so you know it's time for his Three keys to the game but we need a win So we need three keys to get a win this Weekend here at home yes yes it's very Simple very simple my three keys to the Game this week starts with forcing CJ Stout to look like a rookie he hasn't Looked like a rookie all season long He's gone out he's played well for the

Texans but we can create some things Force him to turn the football over so We got to give him some different looks Some things that he's not used to seeing And take the football away we got to try To punch the ball out we got to do Different things to get extra Possessions for this offense secondly we Have to do a great job off offensively Of establishing the run if you don't be If you're not able to run the ball as a Offense you're going to force yourself To be one demensional and that allows The defense in turn to pin their ears Back and get after your quarterback and That's something that you don't want we Just showed you some plays of Will Anderson and what he's capable of doing This Texas defense has been really good All season long so we have to establish The run so that we can create some play Action looks and third and final we have To defend and our dirt we playing right Here at home we got the Hall of Honor Weekend we're going to have all of these Legends in town and we have to show them What this team is capable of doing and It starts right now the the time to get This season turned around starts right Now after the bu these guys are fresh They're rejuvenated they're ready to go And we need this win and they got to do These three things all right love that And that will get us ready for Sunday

And unfortunately that is all the time That we have for you today if you're not Going to be here celebrating moose and Pep with us this weekend be sure to tune In Sunday at 1:00 p.m. on your local Fox Station or you can listen to the game on 99.7 The Fox here in Charlotte so for Thomas Davis coach Reich and the entire Huddle crew thanks for watching and We'll see you right back here inside the Panthers huddle next week as always TD Keep Pounding you've been watching the Panthers Huddle a copyrighted presentation of the Carolina Panthers and the NFL Yeah

Charlotte North Carolina

Charlotte North Carolina – The Best of Both Worlds

Events, Life, Sports, Weather, News

Charlotte is a city that can offer the best of both worlds for residents. It’s a financial hub with popular outdoor events in all seasons, as well as major pro and amateur sports teams. It’s also known for its surprisingly diverse and unique neighborhoods. There’s an electric buzz here that feeds ambition, but it’s also calm enough to keep priorities straight and enjoy the good things in life.

You’ll find a huge variety of dining and drinking in the area, with everything from coffee to craft beer to wine and food. Trendy Uptown restaurants like Amelie’s French Bakery & Cafe, 5Church and Stoke are favorites for a bite of something new. And with dozens of local breweries and exceptional vineyards, you won’t have to travel far from home for your favorite libation.

As with most southern cities, Charlotte loves its festivals. The temperate fall months are ideal for Charlotte’s parks to host Festival in the Park, where you can sample local cuisine, dance to live music and view art exhibits. Or you might prefer a niche event like the Latin-American Festival, which features arts and crafts as well as dancing and delicious food.

While it may not be the most affordable place to live in the USA, you can get a great deal on a house or apartment in Charlotte compared to many other big US cities. For college students, the city offers one of the lowest tuition rates for public two-year colleges in the country.
