Charlotte North Carolina – Things to Do and See
Charlotte is one of the largest cities in North Carolina, and is home to a plethora of activities. The area is close to Lake Norman and the mountains. It is also home to passionate sports fans, such as the Charlotte Panthers and Hornets. The city also plays host to NASCAR and is an excellent place to catch a race. With a growing population, there is ample room for new residents to find a home.
The climate is warm and moderate. Winters in Charlotte are mild compared to other northern cities, and there is only one or two snowfalls per year. However, the mountains of the city can get covered with fresh white powder when temperatures drop. Summers in Charlotte are warm, but not as hot as they are in southern states.
Charlotte is also known for its museums. The Schiele Museum of Natural History is a great place to spend the day if you’re in the mood for some science-related entertainment. This museum features a variety of exhibits and interactive experiences. It is also home to Charlotte’s first craft brewery. Its Belgian-style brewpub is called Heist Brewery. There are many other great breweries in the city, including Birdsong Brewery, which is an exciting local hangout.
In 2016, Charlotte was ranked ninth on Zagat’s list of the 26 Hottest Cities for Food in 2016. As a result, Charlotte’s dining scene has diversified beyond its southern barbecue roots. Popular eateries include The Fig Tree, which offers French and Italian cuisine and pairs its dishes with wines. Other places to try include YAFO Kitchen, which specializes in Mediterranean cuisine. Another popular option for Charlotte residents is Viva Chicken, a Peruvian rotisserie chicken joint.
