Charlotte has an abundance of fun things to do for people of all ages. From brewery tours and baseball games to food and wine festivals, Charlotte offers the charm of a big city with a smaller town feel. There is also plenty of natural beauty to enjoy with 230 parks on 12,000 acres and 56 miles of trails that wind through the city.
The city also has a lot to offer when it comes to professional sports. The NBA’s Charlotte Hornets draw in large crowds to their American Legion Memorial Stadium. Previously known as the Bobcats, the team changed their name to the Hornets in 2014 to honor former player Michael Jordan.
As a city with a growing population, Charlotte’s job market is strong. It is home to top employers like Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Lowe’s as well as major companies in a variety of industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, and technology.
There is also a good selection of schools at all levels that have received national recognition. In addition to public schools, there are a number of private schools that are highly sought after by parents.
Residents can get around the city with ease thanks to the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS). There are buses, streetcars, and the LYNX Light Rail to choose from. The city is also close to the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, making it easy to fly in and out for business or vacations.
