Things to Do in Charlotte, North Carolina
There are many things to do in Charlotte, North Carolina. Charlotte is known for its beer and wine culture, with over one hundred breweries and several excellent vineyards. Visitors can explore hands-on science exhibits at Discovery Place, which is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m, and can enjoy special events like Animal Meet and Greets.
Charlotte is also home to many good festivals. Many of these events offer live music, art exhibitions, and other activities. For example, Festival in the Park, held annually in Freedom Park, is one of the most popular events in Charlotte, and features local food, art, and live music. There is also the Kings Drive Art Walk, which features works by North Carolina artists. Another annual event is the Latin-American Festival, which is a one-day celebration of Latin-American culture and cuisine. In addition to these events, there are numerous other festivals and concerts that occur in Charlotte.
Another interesting attraction in Charlotte is the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art. The museum features almost a million pieces of artwork, including works by Jasper Johns and Edgar Degas. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions. As one of the city’s best art attractions, the Bechtler is open Monday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
