The city of Charlotte may be famous for its heart-pounding NASCAR races and chart-topping entertainers, but it also offers something to please any interest. Its pro list includes a low cost of living (especially compared to other big cities), a strong job market, and plenty of things to do for families, singles, and couples. But there are some cons, too, like the hot summers and the traffic-ridden roads.

From patios with skyline views at Heist Brewery to quaint taprooms and bars in historic neighborhoods, you’ll find more than 40 breweries in the area, including several that serve food and offer alternatives for non-beer drinkers. It’s an ideal place to clink glasses with friends, or meet new people while discussing the latest game or movie.
