Friday, Jan. 6, will see sunny skies across the Charlotte metro area with cooler temperatures as we head into the first weekend of the new year. WCNC Charlotte forecaster Larry Sprinkle says the Carolinas will see afternoon highs in the mid-50s with plenty of bright sunshine.
Saturday morning will be chilly with temperatures near-freezing in North Carolina and South Carolina. Afternoon highs will again climb into the mid-50s with light wind across the Charlotte area. Saturday night will see more clouds move into the area with a chance of rain on Sunday.
The rain chances on Sunday are primarily in the evening. Morning temperatures will be in the upper 30s — a bit warmer than Saturday — but highs will only reach the mid-50s. Any rain we do see won’t last as dry, warm air moves into the Carolinas on Monday. #WakeUpCLT #Weather #Forecast
