Moving to Charlotte North Carolina

Events, Life, Sports, Weather, News

Whether you’re a sports fan, foodie or history buff, Charlotte has something for everyone. Located in the heart of North Carolina, it’s a city that has all the benefits of a large metropolitan area with a small town feel. Here you’ll find amazing dining options, a bustling arts scene, rooftop cocktail bars and 24-hour French pastry shops. It’s also home to professional football, basketball, hockey and baseball teams. Plus, there’s a lot of NASCAR action.

In addition to the sports and entertainment, there are top-notch hospitals in Charlotte that have received national attention. The city is also close to major universities that attract a diverse population of students. Some notable alumni include Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Rapper DaBaby and NBA player Stephen Curry.

Moving to Charlotte also means you’ll be close to some of the best beaches on the east coast. Plus, you’ll have access to the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains just a few hours west of the city. So when you need a break, finding a great escape is easy.

Despite being one of the fastest-growing cities in America, Charlotte is still relatively affordable. You’ll pay a lower cost of living than many other East Coast cities. However, you should keep in mind that income taxes are a little higher here than some other states. You’ll pay 4%-5% of your income in state tax. That might add up to a significant amount over time.
