Charlotte, North Carolina – The Queen City

Events, Life, Sports, Weather, News

One look at Charlotte’s twinkly skyline and the city’s thriving job market and you’ll know why it is considered one of the fastest-growing cities in America. Affectionately nicknamed “The Queen City” in honor of its first queen consort, Charlotte offers all the glamour and perks of a big city (read: photo-worthy skyline, abundance of things to do) but with blissfully lower rent and real estate prices and an overall higher livability rating than most large urban centers.

From high-profile professional sporting events to the city’s thriving arts and culture scene, Charlotte is always entertaining. The city boasts teams at every level of major league American sports, a variety of popular concerts and shows, and a steady stream of local events – all of which you can catch with Charlotte event tickets.

Charlotte also has a huge commitment to its craft beer and wine scene, with seemingly hundreds of breweries and a number of excellent vineyards that offer some unique experiences you won’t find in many other cities. If that’s not enough to keep you entertained, the city has a burgeoning culinary scene and is home to several world-class chefs.

Of course, no trip to Charlotte is complete without a stop by a local favorite restaurant or pub, or a visit to the historic Uptown district. It is also worth noting that, despite being one of the biggest cities in North Carolina, Charlotte has a strong sense of community and people work hard to make sure that the city keeps its small-town charm.
