Moving to Charlotte North Carolina?
About Events, Life, Sports, Weather, News
As one of the fastest growing cities in the country Charlotte offers city dwellers a twinkly skyline, a surplus of fun things to do and a blissfully lower cost of living than NYC or other big-city hubs. It’s no wonder young singles, couples and families are moving to this beautiful southeast North Carolina city in droves.
The city is a sporting hotbed with teams at every major level of the game, plus it’s home to a number of renowned music and art museums. There’s also plenty to do outdoors with 35 miles of greenways, a number of lakes and the nearby mountains for hiking or a day of whitewater rafting.
If you’re looking for a night out on the town, there are tons of bars and restaurants to choose from in Charlotte. The city is firmly committed to beer and wine with seemingly hundreds of great breweries and excellent vineyards. If cocktails are more your thing the city has that covered too with a plethora of cocktail bars, lounges and lounge-like bars.
If you’re in the mood to celebrate the holiday season Charlotte has that covered too with magical light shows, winter ice skating and classical ballets at the Music Hall of Uptown. For a more family-friendly event head to the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden for Holidays at the Garden featuring over a million lights, festive music and other fun activities. A day trip to the mountains or beach is also a breeze from Charlotte with destinations within an hour’s drive.
