Charlotte is a bustling metropolis where you can find small town charm and the excitement of a large city. This North Carolina city is famous for its basketball and NASCAR, as well as its booming banking industry. It’s a place where you’ll find Americana ice cream parlors alongside hipster-run coffee shops, and traditional southern BBQ alongside high-end sushi restaurants. The SouthPark Mall is the largest shopping destination in the state and offers top-tier brands, including Nordstrom’s and Macy’s.
The city’s younger residents keep the nightlife hopping with bars, restaurants and music venues. There’s also plenty to do with kids, from the wildly popular Carowinds amusement park to Discovery Place, the hands-on science museum.
