Living in Charlotte North Carolina
From a twinkly skyline to an abundant selection of things to do, there’s a lot to love about Charlotte. But what exactly is it like to live here? The queen city is a hot spot for young professionals who are fleeing larger hubs for the fast-paced cosmopolitan lifestyle with a lower cost of living than many other big cities.
Events, Life, Sports, Weather, News
The city may have the buzz of a metropolis, but it still exudes a small town feel that locals cherish. A place where folks aren’t afraid to speak their minds, and they always have a friendly hello for you (even if they didn’t know you just passed them by in the grocery store).
Whether you’re a fan of basketball, football, baseball or soccer there is a team for you in Charlotte. The NBA’s Hornets and NFL’s Panthers are both located in the city, while hockey fans will love the minor league Charlotte Checkers and soccer fans can cheer on the Charlotte Independence.
With a few exceptions, the weather in Charlotte is pretty nice. The summers are warm and humid, but not as bad as some of the southern states. The winters can get a bit chilly, and the city experiences a good amount of rainfall, which is common across most of the country. The city is well-known for its beer and wine scene, with seemingly hundreds of breweries and excellent vineyards. It’s also known for its delicious food, with a number of top-rated restaurants scattered throughout the city.
