Brown said that Wednesday’s practice was the best for Young so far this season.
So morning almost afternoon so Almost there Try to cover both my bases just in case People being super critical Uh but excited about the new opportunity So again that the Vikings coming in town So we're looking for offensively is to Build upon we did well last week we're Talking about specifically some of the Plays being made down the field With the explosive pass game had five of Those also the north turnovers was a Huge deal but also gearing up for a Coordinator who is I would say Unconventional when it comes to high Calls the game Heavy pressure packages Having zero answers so getting up get Ready to roll for that but excited about The new opportunity and uh back to work With fluorescending five six guys how How important is quick processing uh for You guys this week extremely important So it talks about from the communication Aspect of it from the play call being in To the Huddle break into Atlanta Streaming from a non-verbal standpoint Is what's going to be huge but also Identification up front when it comes to The protection so making sure Bose makes The right ID point the running backs are In tune but also receivers understanding The timing and spacing it needs to get Open when the ball needs to come out Obviously pressure can have a lot of
Impact on a quarterback but what we're Seeing from from them is they're giving Up big plays as well do you guys see a Lot of opportunities when they do send An extra guy or so to kind of take Advantage of that Um I see opportunity every single time We stop the football so whether they're Bringing pressure or not bringing Pressure we design every single play we Call with the expectation of having a Efficient operation to be able to Execute there are some voids here and There but I think whether they're Bringing pressure bringing for or Dropping drop a date and playing three It's about our execution operation Overall Processor today Like I mentioned last week I tried that To dive into the hypotheticals I mean It's hard to say that before we actually Play the game I think every day for Every young player him and him in Particular as well is going to be a new Opportunity to be able to kind of learn And grow more about himself more about This league more about our offense Overall the operation of it but I think It would definitely be up for it so Yeah I think you know Andy did a Phenomenal job last week which is no Surprise to I think anyone who's been Around him seen them work kind of saw
Practice from the standpoint of from he When he came in on Monday to how he Digesting information to higher ran Wednesday practice Thursday practice Friday all those type of things but I Think it's more about our overall Execution offensively and I think week To week it depends on what you're facing From a defensive coverage standpoint and Having answers when it comes to that Obviously it wasn't planned but yeah Yeah I would say just like I mentioned I Think have an opportunity for every rep For him like every player is an Opportunity to grow and learn from your Past experiences will they be good or Bad but I would say honestly yesterday Probably felt like I told miss this Morning in the office of unit meeting That was probably his best day this fall When it comes to not just the the Execution he's been really good when it Comes to understanding the offense and Being a fast processor but the energy The enthusiasm stepping into a huddle Called and play with conviction uh Coaching this Gaza from a receiver Standpoint o-line up front just kind of Being the the Meister if you will when It comes as offensive it was the best Job he did in my opinion so far this Year uh yesterday to try to continue to Build upon that and be better today will You hold Bryce got out of watching Andy
Last week what do you what would you Have liked him to get out of that Experience well I think ultimately I Want uh Bryce and every other player we Have to be the best president himself But I think being able to understand and Learn from a veteran highly operated but Also the sideline communication the Energy he brought to the entire group From a Down and Down out but also just Making the plays in the plays that'll be Made and obviously not also doing a Really good job of taking care of Football too so pretty fast heavy I know You guys want to be more balanced with The offense how do you focus more on That this week um yeah one is first off We got to be better when it comes to the Runs we actually call earlier in the Game that kind of starts with that Having some opportunities to be Efficient uh think about the Run game End times as far as delivering body Blows in a boxing match so it might be Two it might be four it might be five But being consistent with that but also More importantly we got to cut out nine Penalties offensively when it comes to Putting us up behind the sticks as I Mentioned last week those g-boss Scenarios those get back on track Situations then makes it more difficult To stay on track and call some of those Runs you're trying to play catch up
Within the down so I think combination Of both of those things plus our Commitment to it but it's it's about our Execution starting out with uh from the Start of the game assume that having a Strong Run game is something that would Benefit for us as it would be Quarterback right yeah I think it Benefits every quarterback I think Ultimately you want to be balanced Offensively and to me balance doesn't Always mean 50 50 it means being able to Run we want to run and pass it on the Throw throw the football to kind of Dictate on our own turns when it comes To that balance we provide and that Bounce might change week to week but Obviously I do a better job of being More efficient when it comes to that Area of our offense Yesterday what do you attribute that to Say one more time I'm sorry This open experience in general I think That I mentioned before we have a lot of Positive voices leaders are part of our Entire football team but also on offense But every team I've been a part of has Been a good football team is player led So having a chance like I mentioned Before just Andy's influence in that Room uh his experience but also him Trying to you know obviously give Bryce Room to kind of grow into his own but Also giving them positive feedback and
Lastly just better just show them just And sometimes it's better better just Have the the experience any the Opportunity to watch somebody else do it But put his own spin on and be the best Version of himself Subscribe Hold on describe it Um I think For all of us in general has been some Hives and some lows I think from a Standpoint of We always can be unrealistic I would say Especially me in particular from a Coaching standpoint of uh what the level Of expectation is but I think as far as How he's handled Um the first opt from back in OTAs to Helen adversity from the get-go thing Has been really good so far You heard how Frank talked about the Other day about why he got away from the Running game uh last week so when when That how's that Dynamic work because I Know you had more of a specialty with The running game against so how did that Work it was there a point you tried to Bring him back in and say we need to run Or is it did you kind of agree with why He got away from it Yeah I think it's about trying to find The best way for us to win the football Game Um I think it's from a coordinator
Standpoint my focus is going to be able To try to be expert in all aspects of The offensive whether it becomes the Run Game protection drop back pass game Quick game and screens as well uh but It's about our continued dialogue and Working together but also giving Feedback on a down-to-down basis you Mentioned brace bringing the energy Yesterday is that something over this First few months that you wanted to see A little more about it You know I won't just make it about him I think all us overall when it comes our Entire offense just having more energy I Think the more guys can process faster The more time you have on tasks with the Reps you can slow the game down the the More we kind of all express our Personality kind of be able to flow a Little bit better so him included that Is there the sort of quarterback setting The tone for that idea yeah I think it Starts with no matter who your Quarterback is how you step into a Huddle how you deliver a play looking Guys in the eyes having great Communication and uh just the urgency You bring it's not to raise everybody's Level as well you had the season-high 10 Different guys get targeted but that Came with 58 uh throws obviously how do You get the Titan position more involved Early and what are you seeing from
Defenses that have maybe adjusted your Plans at that position I won't say it's Just about plans at all I think it's all Based off of again who you're playing What they're playing coverage wise but Also who's open and available I think we Talk about attacking a defense from a Pass game stand for what have specific Plans week to week when it comes to Attacking uh you know single hot man Whether it be single high Zone whether It be what we call 99 cover 33 week or Three deep zones or even someone too High shell standpoints there's more Based off of the peer progressional Quarterback standpoint and guys getting Open to Rhythm and timing of a play To follow up on that the reason why I Asked Half of either of those games yes Particularly why I'm asking them yeah I Think it's more based on just the Overall game playing what they're Presenting defensively and we'll have a Brand new opponent this week would be Totally different everybody we played Before so just trying to prepare for That and put our guys in the best spot To have success The coach we're going to run a game House uh Tara Cohen's come back going And do you see a rotational role for him Going forward I mean it's hard to say Right now as far as the rotational role
Going full but I think watching this Progress every day has been awesome like I mentioned last week having a chance to Attend uh his kind of individual workout Was great to better see his birth Changing direction ball skills so Looking for improvement every day out of Him and just has a he has a great energy And bursts about himself as well just From a meeting room standpoint cracking Jokes here and there but also the Overall entry on the football field so Excited about him Obviously it is us trying to evaluate Our roster and prepare our guys whoever They may be at each individual spot to Get ready to go roll when it comes time Um what does that mean to you when you Start off the season three as a Competitor and somebody wants to win Yeah one I would say is a great phrase About him to kind of mention that that Exact verbiage but it means that every Day we're pursuing Excellence no matter What the result is we have a consistent Process we're always trying to hold Ourselves to a higher standard but there Is no desperation there is no lack of uh You know continuity and muscle from a Coaching staff standpoint also Player-wise but it's always about our Urgent Improvement and addressing those Areas that kind of continue to improve Upon week by week
About doing that specifically how can You be more efficient out there well I Just said specifically for the Run game Stand but I didn't necessarily say Overall offensively efficiently but I Think when it comes to our execution Starting the game out the right way and Just being able to have our guys sell in Take it one play at a time and have a You know 0-0 mentality so I start o win That rep or maybe lose that rep move on To the next play and keep building from There Standpoint and play design what does Parks Fraser bring to the Past camp a Lot I mean just from a detail standpoint Throughout the week uh breaking down Coverage is kind of building cut ups for The most part we end up having installs I'll normally kind of address the group I'll handle kind of the book or the Picture install standpoint when it comes To the plays and they'll always have Like a coverage state to kind of go Through and explain the details from a Guys from a player's standpoint of why We have specific plays in how we attack Coverages how those guys play from a Defensive standpoint so obviously Definitely heavily involved by him Um I would say that would be a Convenient excuse to make I think the Part depending on Week to week who we have up our job as
Coaches get those guys ready to go play Over my coaching staff point is their Job to kind of be a pro and play with This time to go play so That's what I would say to that Thank y'all always great to see you
