Point-in-Time Count volunteers spread out throughout Charlotte on Thursday, January 26, 2023 to try and count people/persons who are experiencing homelessness and gather demographics to inform HUD who will fund the city.

Hi I'm Liz clay centelli with roof above And I'm leading a group of volunteers Throughout Third Ward today as part of The point in time count the point in Time Talent is the country's one day Where we mobilize communities to Identify how many people are Experiencing homelessness in our Communities you can do a lot of that Through our shelters but with the point In time count we've mobilized volunteers To identify people who are sleeping in Unsheltered locations like in Encampments and on the street and we do That because we know we need to end Homelessness in this country but you Need to know what's the extent of the Issue what are the barriers people are Facing so it's an important time to make Sure we know all that we can about this Issue of homelessness so we can end it

Events

Charlotte North Carolina is a city that has plenty of things to do and see. From sports to live music, there’s something for everyone here.

Life

It’s a city that’s growing and developing every day. You’ll find a diverse population that mixes traditional southern values with more contemporary attitudes.

You’ll also see a lot of young people who love to have fun. They enjoy being outdoors and aren’t afraid to party.

Sports

One of the most popular cities in the US, Charlotte is home to a variety of professional and amateur sports teams. From baseball to hockey, football to basketball and NASCAR, there’s a sport here for everyone!

Weather

The Charlotte area is known for its mild winters and beautiful springs. However, the summer months can get very hot at times.

When the weather is nice, you’ll find that Charlotte has plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy. With a beautiful park system, a variety of museums and an abundance of outdoor attractions, you’ll be sure to find what you’re looking for here!

Getting Around

The public transportation options in Charlotte are pretty good. The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) runs about 70 local and regional fixed routes. CATS also operates a light rail line, but it doesn’t provide service to the airport.

The only downside to Charlotte is that traffic is often a pain. This is especially true during rush hour, so if you’re a driver, be prepared to spend some time in your car!
