Living and Working in Charlotte North Carolina
Charlotte North Carolina is one of the best cities in America to live and work in. It has a strong economy, balanced cost of living, thriving education and entertainment options, and beautiful weather.
Events
The city is known for its many festivals, which give residents an opportunity to meet new people and enjoy the outdoors. The festival calendar includes film and porch fests, performing arts showcases, food and wine weeks, and more.
Life
The laid-back attitude of the city’s residents makes it easy to enjoy an active lifestyle here, and no one is too busy for fun. You’ll find plenty of sports to get your fix, including NFL and NBA teams.
You’ll also want to take advantage of the local parks and trails, with more than 230 parkland acres spread throughout Mecklenburg County. Plus, you can take advantage of one of the nation’s most significant urban bike-sharing systems.
Sports
The NFL, NBA, AHL, USL, and Major League Lacrosse are just some of the professional sports teams that play in Charlotte. In addition, two NASCAR Cup series races are held here, and there are several local theaters and the Carowinds amusement park.
Weather
The climate in Charlotte is moderate, with average temperatures ranging from 42 degrees to 79 degrees Fahrenheit. Winters are mild, with snowfall rarely exceeding a foot. Summers can be hot and muggy, but the humidity is not as intense as some southern cities. The city experiences about 218 days of sunshine per year.
